This one was actually a school project.

So, either way, i threw some stuff together and i'm actually somewhat impressed with it.

I suppose you have to know a little bit about me to understand the true depth of the song. The only way i ever can and ever have survived reality is with my head in the clouds. All the time. And i think its where i get alot of my good ideas and my inspiration from.

I also sort of like Anime styles of drawing. I just don't happen to be really involved in anime, but i like the art style and the sort of feel-good environments depicted in them. Thats just how they seem to be.

Alas, that is not the way real life works, though i do what I can to make it as close as possible (and it is in this "Pursuit of happiness" that i spend so much time on the internet).

This song was designed as sort of a depiction of this. I hate these little gateways into the happiness i seek, because they are small glimpses and they don't last. I can't feel that way forever and i am always dissapointed to still find myself in the real world. Damn you, reality.

The meaning of this song really took place after i had got it down. Suffice it to say, i had some real block on this, and i guess i finally had a breakthrough. I tinkered with it, and eventually, it became this, and its meaning came along with it.

Believe it or not, the song has a structure. There are actually only two tracks, and thats the Piano and the drum kit. If you listen, you can pick out the structure of the song - the gooey center is the "Piano solo", though thats pretty much the entire song.

The beauty of the song isn't really in the mixing and mastering, but just how these simple loops were put in the right order with the right tempo and pitch - little tweaks - and it comes out this really beautiful thing. I could sit here and try to pour my heart and soul into this paragraph, but my emotional side really is at my core, and i have difficulty expressing it.

But whats the fun in trying to feel what i feel. I hope you enjoy this song like I do, Short as it is.

Thanks.

I think music is certinally more meaningful when theres a story behind it. Of course, truly good music tells a story (or, better yet, allows you to build a story for it).
