I listened to all of your generous and helpful reviews and here, I've tried to incorporate what you said. I made it a bit heavier, despite getting distracted a few times and refrained from making a song that didn't match the title. Less repetition, more variety, louder drums, better outro, more interesting riffs, ect.

So anyway, here's a happy crazing dance song about raging depression. Please dance so I don't have to shoot you.

"Hm...Sounds Generic..."

date: November 18, 2009

It had an interesting intro which led well into the main melody adn u used good guitar samples but it does tend to sound slightly generic as u can hear most loops or ones simlar to those in the song in otehr songs around NG.

The one particular thing i also didnt like was the instant change of volume, there was virtually no transtion from low volume to high volume thus making transitions not smooth whatsoever.

Also. it didn't exactly loop well as theres a big gap of silence between outro and intro so maybe u could improve that.

Overall however, its a decent piece but u could work a bit more on it and maybe next time use slightly more original instruments.

"I hate to be the bearer of bad news..."

date: November 15, 2009

But I thought that Pre-made loops weren't allowed to be used in songs? 'Cause most all of the sounds used are just from the loop bank, don't deny it, I used the riff that you used at :46 and 1:02 when i was just starting to use the program.

Maybe You're trying to show of your production skill, or your ability to piece a song together, I don't know, but please try to use your own loops, riffs. And if you're going to use them the premade loops, do something with them other than just changing the tempo, maybe try to expand on it with some sort of midi tune, or figure out how to play it and expand on it that way.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but you need to make sure that in all of the songs you've "made" that you've used premade loops, please tell us so, because obviously the other people who have reviewed his do not know this.

If anything it was decently put together, even though some of the parts seemed randomly put together lol

"Sample board?"

I think that this is something that a musician of your talent and calibre could take a lot further - you seem to have produced what sounds like a bunch of sounds that only seem to get tied together at the end of the track, when you go for the heavier stuff.

The intro was nice, but it needs a different tune to lead into, as opposed to this one. Something softer would certainly suit it, I'm sure. I think that the beat that comes in after that could be the intro for the Manic Street Preachers "You Stole The Sun From My Heart" and it's a nice sounding individual effort that leads nicely into the next part, with the guitar. That's a little too mellow for what I was expecting, to be honest. Then it stops and changes completely.

The Rock & Roll sound that you've got along then, combined with what sounds more like a Flea Bass solo from the Chilis filters in and starts the thrack off to the end. I guess I'm trying to say that there's too much variation, but not in such a blunt fashion. Try breaking the track down and expanding on the individual pieces.

"Sounds nice, but unfinished"

date: November 13, 2009

The intro is pretty nice with the slow build up. More and more instruments are added until the guitar sets in and plays a very nice riff.

I also like the transition from the intro part to the heavy part. It's pulled off very nicely and doesn't sound so forced like in some other songs you can hear in the audio portal.

Too bad this song is so short though. It just feels that the song now really started and then we are suddendly confronted with a fade out already. :/

Also, the drums in the "heavy guitar part" are still too weak. It's pretty hard to hear them when the guitar is playing the riff.

"Good but really incomplet"

date: November 12, 2009

yeah well i actually really like this song in certain parts but i find it just changes to much in the small 1 and a half minute that it lasts. well here's a list of the things i did and did not appreciate:

Weak Points:

(this song just doesn't feel at all complete. it concentrates on certain things in some parts and in others, completely ingores them.)

- First of all, the intro is acceptable, but is way to long for this song. i mean seriously! it's almost a third of the song. this really is a letdown because the guitar parts are actually really good and they only start at 0:24.

- Second of all, the riffs and drum solos seem to be stitched together without consent for one another. Obviously, you concentrated more on the variety and the quality of the riffs, wich made you kind of miss the whole point of the song.

- The drums are also a big problem in this song since they are bland, and don't sound at all as strong as they should be especialy after 0:39. and there is also a huge, almost akwerd silence between 0:39 and 0:45 where this is a drum solo. Wich breaks the fluidity of the song even more.

Positive Points:

- the riffs are actually really good for the most part, with good variety and sound. But you should make some of them loop for longer and maybe put some over each other once you get the song going. for example: you should take off the riff at 1:06 to 1:09 and go straight to the riff at 1:10 + (wich i absolutly love btw). and then, later in the song play thoes two on top of eachother. I think that would sound great.

- yeah, the guitars sound really great with a really good sound quality. but they should seriously loop for longer.

NOTES: yeah you should definitly make this song longer, looping the riffs for longer since, at the moment, this actually just sounds like a compilation of awesome guitare riffs.

Riffs: 10/10
Drums: 5/10
Structure: 4/10
Intruments: 6/10
Total: 6.25/10
