I haven't submitted anything for a while (though I'm currently sitting on a handful of music I've completed since my last track). Hopefully somebody will like this one :)

It's been a while since I've written music like this. Ambient trancy stuff. Anyways I was just fooling around with my new toy (can you guess what it is?) and I got inspired. I whipped this one out quicker than I even thought. Took me about an hour and fifteen minutes. It's a little rough around the edges in some places, but I like it.

Enjoy.

I am really happy that you are making music that stands out from the rest you make. For a few years, you made music that sounded very similar to the rest you made. However, this song, while keeping the style you are so well known for, sounds different from the earlier music you produced. If you don't mind me saying so, though, I would not really call this music ambient. To me, ambient music is less fast paced and more calming. The only reason you're missing a star in my review is because this music seems to be lacking something. I think you should make the the bass drums less loud, because it really takes away from the music. Overall, you did a great job with this, and I await more music from you!

Yeah I agree with Veg, well done vocs. I heard something in an interview, I think it was with Trent Reznor - that well done vocals fit in like another instrument; I think they do here.
It feels spacious, a little empty, which is actually good for me, because it leaves room to play around on guitar over it. But yeah, left as is, it's pretty simple, which can be a good thing; or you could develop it further and have something else entirely.
By the way, I heard a couple of bands from Montreal, Metric and The Dears, that I really like the sound of, and I like the sound of you two as well, which leads me to believe that Montreal is a pretty awesome music scene. Is this true?

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review, man.

Yeah, some good music comes out of Montreal. I never really got into Metric. My sister did, though. I think they're actually from Toronto. Never heard of The Dears. Arcade Fire and Chromeo come to mind though.

TBH the only local act I've REALLY gotten into is Chromeo. I haven't really been into their music recently (I may have over-listened to it), but when I was first getting into it a couple of years ago, HOLY SHIT that was good stuff.

P-Thugg is actually one of the main reasons I got a talkbox. I saw them live back then and I was totally amazed by the performance. Of course, some of that credit also goes to Roger Troutman, but I only discovered Zapp because of Chromeo.

Shit I almost forgot -- Simple Plan is one of the most amazing bands of all time. I feel honored to have an association with them because we're from the same city.

JK, LOL! SIMPLE PLAN FUCKING SUCKS!
