"Out Of Mind"

Probably the last piece for Newgrounds, therefore, a poem.
Out Of Mind
I'm sitting here, lonely, in my room.
The lights are off and it's a dark, dark afternoon.
Rain is falling outside, it's the only sound i hear.
It's calm around me, but chaos in my head. I try to make my mind clear.
But i'm not succeeding, it keeps getting worse.
When will it stop, this nightmare, this curse?
I take a look outside, the streets are dark and wet.
I walk from the window and i lay down on my bed.
''This is it'' i softly say to myself.
If there's a common enemy, then it's life itself.
It's a fight that keeps going on, and on, and on.
It's a fight that only stops, only stops when you are gone.
But i won't give up now, i came so far.
No, i won't give up and i will win this war.
I stand up and walk outside.
The rain falls down on me, but in me, i feel pride.
There's nothing that can stop me now, nothing to hold me back.
Slowly the sky turns from grey to black.
''Come and get me'' i shout towards the sky.
Farewell my friend, this is my goodbye.
