My first attempt to sing, and first of all, i'm aware my voice isn't the best, so feel free the be as harsh on that as you wish.

I originally made this for another project, but i wasn't happy with the quality, so i re-recorded it with a more ambient feel, quality still horrible :P but trust me, it was alot worse before.

Used an acoustic guitar, and my voice, Audacity to record, main effect: GVerb(i love GVerb:P)

A little quiet

Nice sounds, but I think that you're just below the volume limit that you need - with the sound recording options you might want to up the input volume a little, then mess with the equaliser to give a more balanced and louder, better projected piece of music.

The vocals sounds quite tribal and leaves a very lasting impression on me. With the lyrics tend to fade away, which is a shame. Perhaps try recording them separately, then playing with the effects, as these are too loud, compared to the music. There's also quite a bit of static, if you turn the volume up to hear the music.

It's getting there, but it's a good effort, nonetheless.

Not a bad attempt...

The intro was great, it really caputred a sad and abondoned feel which instantly makes you feel like you're alone. As haggard noted, the atmosphere in this was great.

What i didn't realyl like was the voice, not to offend your singing skills or anything, but it wasn't exactly great. I didn't really understand most of the lyrics too. Something about elder gods and whispering was all i could understand.

You need more background to this too, maybe a few ominous strings could help. Although the guitar is great.

Not a bad job, keep it up.

Nice atmosphere

This song creates a really nice atmosphere, but the quality of the sound is rather low, so it's very hard to understand anything in this song.

Yet, the atmosphere created by the instruments and the effects on the vocals are really nice, it is very relaxing and at the same time a bit creepy.

So yeah, all this song needs is a better sound quality and I'm sure I would rate this 9 or even 10. But sadly I can only give this a 7 for atmosphere and effort.

I have to admit that the quality of the music and the quality of the voices really ruined this submission for me. It sounded like it was going to be a pretty good song and I do enjoy the effects that you used very much, but I couldn't understand much if any of it as it was very static like and just plain hard to understand.

I know there isn't much you can do about that expect for getting some better recording equipment, but for this to sound good I highly recommend it. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that the song sounded good because personally from what I could make out it did.

For now though I recommend putting the lyrics on your author comments.
