Author Comments

EDIT: In my intoxicated state, I feel like a little rage needs to be let out of the cage: I won't delete this song. It's a new song not really meant for casual listeners, but leans more towards a theme styled song (I believe that a theme song is able to be played each flash episode and still does not get annoying/old over time).

I'm sure Nilus31 will leave a nonconstructive, cock review with little advice other than bitching about my old days. Although I really can't complain. His only contribution to the Newgrounds Audio community is his one "favorite" portal song known as Winterbliss. A song with horrendous mastering, a generic square lead, a boring sawtooth bassline, and a set of poor legato/spiccato strings (with lame chord progressions at that) backing up the terribly constructed melody. With knowledge such as this, I'm perplexed as to why Nilus31 isn't helping me further.

Here's some constructive advice Nilus: Fuck off. I make MY music the way MY heart tells me to. I can say with a VERY light heart that I'm absolutley euphoric that you are no longer a fan of mine. Take your bullshit "advice" and shove it up your unversed, inexperienced ass, you fucking prick.

With no love or sympathy at all, yours truly,
Nathan Ingalls

Well, back to what I originally was going to say:

I'm what some may call.. FUCKING HAMMERED. With this in mind, grammar is a great friend of mine and shall assist me on the commentary of this weird, unique song.

This song is not for the feint of heart. It new. Its unique. Its quite unlike anything you've heard before, and a large majority of you will NOT enjoy this song if you compare it to my trance songs of the past. I ask of you to look past this, and find the complexities in this song. The layers upon layers of percussion and effects show hours of work and try to take a moment to analyze this.

This song/loop is made for an evil clown environment (with shameless self-promotion of myself with the new FL9 vocoder). This is dedicated to the few who will like this new and odd genre of song by me. Maybe when I wake up with a hangover I'll realize the extent of my actions and will delete this song accordingly. On the other hand, perhaps this new type of song will be epic. As inebriated as I am, I am unable to tell how well, or perhaps how poorly this song was made.

Enjoy this new piece of work and vote accordingly.

<3 Nate

P.S.
If you really read all of the above commentary, I applaud you. Thanks for taking time out of your busy day/night to read about a dude you don't even know. Truly means a lot.

I write music from my heart as well and with some of my favorite songs I get reviewers like yours who are absolute dicks and just complain. Then get zero bombed.

I enjoy trying to send a message from my heart, usually comes out very different, just like this song. Which is probably why I enjoy this song so much, because there is more meaning than just trying to become popular.

Great work, keep composing from your heart.
It is the only reason to make music.

It sounds like it belongs in a madness flash, fits perfectly with tricky the clown :D
A 9 has been given, because this epic loop should definitely be expanded into a full on song ^_^

"You tell 'em."

:3 Damn right. Don't let anyone tell you what to write. If everyone actually took into account the opinion of every single damn person that had one, nothing would ever get done.
I like the beat, it's fun. It's not my style, and a bit short. I give you a 8/10, but that's personal opinion (lol).

I originally made this NG account for the sole purpose of commenting on a few of your pieces that touched me deep down, made a shiver go up my spine, or awed me with their beauty. Seeing a lack of submissions makes me really sad, because whether or not I see the piece you create as the same "classic nate" style or whatever doesn't matter.
People grow, and so does art, and apparently some people can't get past that.

Fuck them. I'll keep listening to whatever you put up here. I'll give you my opinion on how it made me feel, but as long as you maintain the quality that you have always produced, even if it isn't my "style" I'll accept it as it is: Art.

"AND I APPLAUD YOU TOO!"

i read the whole thing. Effort put into author commentary means alot in my mind.

Although this song is not something i would regularly listen to, that is not what i am giving you a 10 on. The shear nature of the song is immense. The Song itself if analysed right can give the listener the impression of drunkeness, thus reflecting your own state of mind as you were creating this song. If i listen to this a while I imangine not clowns but a very secretive party. =] One in which lots of illegal activities are taking place. Drug sales etc... I believe if you also listen long enough you will hear the same in the song. At first i heard clowns as you described BUT that was merely because you had subliminaly implanted the thought of clowns into my head lol.

The composition is another thing I am voting 10 on. Although the DJ Nate vocoder vocals did NOT fit in with the song as they were out of place and empty. You may not realise it but at that exact point you created intense tension.

So to conclude this I did not hear clowns in this piece but illegal activities instead =O

GOOD JAWB DEWD!
