So, this one is rather weird for most people.
It is a remix of an old Commodore 64-favorite of mine.
I basically LOVE and worship ancient vide-game music.
So here is my remix of it. With vocals by me.
Otherwise pretty faithful to the original SID.

Lyrics as usual:

This one is for all of those people who still want more,
of all the great tunes sung by the Commodore.
And feel the world is moving just a tad too fast.

We feel nostalgic about these songs
because it reminds us of a time that we have lost.
and now we're keeping it alive while having a blast.
Emulating the past.

Well.... what can I say? I downloaded & had a listen on my gear and was completely blown away by this track! :)

As I get older and play more and more modern video games, my memories of the old games I grew up with get more and more precious. This song is absolutely brilliant. While I grew up in the NES/SNES generation, this tune still has a lot of weight to me.

Even though the Famicom's sound chips were very different than the SID chip in the Commodore, the emotion and style is very much the same. It's an art that has become lost, even in modern chiptune music. It is very rare for there to be a piece that both equally captures that emotion and feel of the old masters of the 80s and early 90s, while still feeling fresh and new. I commend you Sky Marshall. This piece has become my absolute favorite piece of music on Newgrounds!

this is a great track but i think someone has this same song as they're work as well. was this a collab or is someone taking credit for you're work? i found the other upload of this song searching for you're page, he goes by "nik0lax7" but also has a sub name of sky Marshall. ... either im stupid and am making myself look as such or some one has stolen you're work. i usually just review. not much of a whistle blower. love the song by the way. 5/5 5/5

SkyMarshall responds:

Thanks 🥰 Hmm couldnt find what you are referring to, but if so he def stole it. I clearly remember being alone when I did this 😄

an awesome song that really speaks a truth i feel nostalgic hearing any type of old music 1s from video games epecially it reminds me that those days are gone and with each year all the old stuff seems to get rarer and rarer really makes ye feel kinda down if ye think about it

Solid.

Great arrangement. Reminds me of some early Jean Michel Jarre. Time does seem to go by fastest when we don't want it to.
