"The Hero of Time" Montage Release #4:
Leaving the Forest

for the film "The Hero of Time" by BMB Finishes
Website: http://www.theherooftime.
com

Music Composed by George R. Powell
Vocal part performed by Raegan Quinn

This piece, although it does not incorporate much in the way of LoZ melodies, was one of the first pieces in the film that fans seemed to take heart to when viewing the movie at the screenings. It takes place when Link is saying his good-byes to Saria as she finds herself emotionally torn by his leaving.

While I experimented with a number of ideas for this scene, this approach - while being simple - seemed best to portray the scene at hand.

"Stunning"

I have goosebumbs on my arms while hearing this song (and it's not cold where I'm at). Amazing.

The beginning and some parts later on have a Lord of the Rings feeling to them. It could totally be in that Soundtrack.
Take that as you want it, I mean it as a compliment.

I wish I could see the actual scene, but only listening to this song is like "watching a movie".

Excuse me, I'm bad in explaining.

Anyway, great!

Author's Response:

lol It's all good. Greatly appreciated. Actually, David (the film's producer and music coordinator) specifically wanted the music to have a Howard Shore feel (the man who scored the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy).

Personally, I loved the scene this went to, because everyone who's played Ocarina of Time felt that Link saying his goodbyes to Saria was very rushed and didn't do the scene justice. BMB Finishes, however, showed the scene as it should have been in the game.

"Best piece from HOT to date"

date: October 2, 2009

Im pretty critical when I listen to classical pieces but the emotion in this piece is amazing. Its very well balanced and each section flows together great. Definitely one of your best pieces from the soundtrack thus far.

Author's Response:

Thank you. The full effect of this moment in the film is far more expressed when you see the scene with the music. But it'll be some time (unknown to me) before it gets publicly released.
