Here's another remake of one of my previous posts that was very well accepted by NG listeners. This one's about how music is losing its importance in our advancing societies. It expresses what the emotions we feel from music are capable of inspiring us to do, and how we can just feel free from all of life's pressures when we're engulfed by the rhythm.
Feel free to check me out on iTunes, search for 'Caleb Harvey' as that is my real name. :)
Enjoy.

I lost you in the crowd
The sound around us was so loud
That when I found you I started to shout
And you kept on singin' your heart out
It was the music they played
The music they played
All the music
All night and day
It was the music they played
The music they played
All the music
I've never seen you move that way
When I first saw you standing there
You had flowers in your hair
Who was I to speak to one so fair?
But the music gave me passion so I didn't care
It was the music they played
The music they played
All the music
All night and day
It was the music they played
The music they played
All the music
That led me to you that day
Some say the music doesn't matter anymore
That there's too much pain and sorrow in the world
But then how do the children continue to play?
How do we know we'll live to see another day?
It's the music we play
The music we play
All the music
All night and day
It's the music we play
The music we play
All the music
That's gonna keep the sadness away.
It's gonna keep, it's gonna keep the sadness away.
All the music, all the music.

EVERY time I listen to 2:32-2:50 I get CHILLS.
No but really this is a really amazing song...
What are you doing on Newgrounds? You could be famous!!

Cayler responds:

When I wrote that segment, my goal was to make the overall song catchy by restating the thesis of the song in a different context, and I think it really worked in catching the listener's attention. :) Thanks for the complement, but really the feedback I've gotten on NG is the closest I've ever been to being famous. lol

Powerful stuff

Every chord progression I've ever liked, nicely done lyrics, and good variety within the song. This is a solid bit of work in all respects IMHO. Keep up the great work!

Cayler responds:

I sure will, thanks! :)

wow

Wow this is an awesome song. Toward the end at 2:32 is fantastic. Great singing. I'm acctually pretty dumb struck right now. I didn't think a song like this could be found on NG, I'd figure if sumone made a song this damn good they would make sum money from it. Great job, i'm goin to check suma your other stuff so this song isn't stuck in my head all night and day

Cayler responds:

I really hope to make some money off of my music, but first I have to let people know it's out there. The audio portal has a lot of good musical ears and give good feedback compared to most other sites so that's why I chose NG. :)
