Here's another remake of one of my previous posts that was very well accepted by NG listeners. This one's about how music is losing its importance in our advancing societies. It expresses what the emotions we feel from music are capable of inspiring us to do, and how we can just feel free from all of life's pressures when we're engulfed by the rhythm.
Feel free to check me out on iTunes, search for 'Caleb Harvey' as that is my real name. :)
Enjoy.

I lost you in the crowd
The sound around us was so loud
That when I found you I started to shout
And you kept on singin' your heart out
It was the music they played
The music they played
All the music
All night and day
It was the music they played
The music they played
All the music
I've never seen you move that way
When I first saw you standing there
You had flowers in your hair
Who was I to speak to one so fair?
But the music gave me passion so I didn't care
It was the music they played
The music they played
All the music
All night and day
It was the music they played
The music they played
All the music
That led me to you that day
Some say the music doesn't matter anymore
That there's too much pain and sorrow in the world
But then how do the children continue to play?
How do we know we'll live to see another day?
It's the music we play
The music we play
All the music
All night and day
It's the music we play
The music we play
All the music
That's gonna keep the sadness away.
It's gonna keep, it's gonna keep the sadness away.
All the music, all the music.

Again!!

a very notable difference, and an excellent one at that, especially since I'm awfully fond of rock, good work!

However after listening to it for the fourth time because i loved the addition, i couldn't help but notice a strong sound of static around the same moment you spoke, probably has something to do with the settings of distortion you did for powerful voice tone. listen to it in the first 30 seconds and you'll see what i mean

Also the build up of the climax to 3:50 is awesome and works well with the song, just the peak of the transaction seems off. it could be because its echoing or because there is nothing to lead up to such a high pitch. it could be just me though.

if you can fix that, masterpiece my talented friend, the upgrade was definitely a good choice, and resulted well, very well

Cayler responds:

Yes, I've been cursing myself for redoing the vocals that way. At the time that I recorded them, I just thought that it would sound good to jump up an octave before the heavy music sets back in, but I was very wrong. lol I've been meaning to change it back to the way the original vocals were but haven't had the time. Dern school always making me do this and that.... lol

Love it!

Absolutely love the new version of this song. The sound is much more clean and professional. Exceptionally done. I love the little piano break at 00:48. Though, I have to say, I liked the funk style intro to the original a little bit better. But overall, still one of the best pieces on NG. Hands down.
