This is a collab song between myself and Aeris (TestSubjectA). It is probably the most intricate thing I've ever worked on, and I'm extremely happy with the result. Working with Aeris was a blast, and I just hope everyone enjoys listening to this as much as I did writing my parts of the song.

Thanks for listening everyone.

Aeris' (TestsubectA) Comments:

Gravey and I have been friends for a little over 9 months now, and I can honestly say that without him, I wouldn't be at the musical stage I'm at now. So why have we not made a collab?... ... ... I don't fucking know, so TADA!

3010 A.D. is a story of the future, post-apocalyptic, but thriving nonetheless. It's ridden with clubs and the culture of the 31st century.

Both our styles have outstandingly mixed with one another, my skill with effects have mixed with his hardcore creativity, and I'm quite pleased.

Hope to do it again sometime,

-Aeris/TSA

"Good attempt."

date: November 15, 2009

However trying to make futuristic music is like trying to imagine a color I can't see. It's just so mind numbingly hard to do so. I'm sure that if you showed Charlie Parker Industrial music his response would be something like ,"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhh!" True story. Well it sounds like something from the early 80's though. Eh, if 1000 years have gone by who knows what music will be like. It's a sad thought, but what if there wasn't? (Do I spot a Fahrenheit 451 reference?) A world without music, would be flat (as in B flat, the opposite of sharp)

Author's Response:

Interesting review. You say that I we were trying to create a form of music that is impossible to make. Where in fact we were simply just writing a collab song and after it was finished we felt it took on the feel of a sort of futuristic song. But then you go on to leave a remark stating the fact that you seem to know what Charlie Parker would think about such a situation, which really is irrelevant.

I can't really see anything constructive in this review. All you are saying is "what you tried to do is hard and impossible. Therefore I'm not too impressed. Oh and by the way Charlie Parker wouldn't have seen industrial music coming in his wildest imagination." I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish with your review here, because it just makes no sense at all.

Feel free to critique the music itself, I have no problems with constructive criticism. But you basically are just saying "You don't know what the future is, so don't try to come up with futuristic ideas." Yea you are probably right, this is probably a dumb idea. Just like Star Wars, Star Trek, and the entire Sci Fi channel, due to the fact none of that will probably represent the future correctly.

But then again, who cares?!

"I'll give you a 7"

And i'll ofc explain why. I found the intro very exciting, and i was really suprised to hear how it builded up. But when the climax came, it kinda changed mood from sad to happy. The leads and sounds at 1:15 - 1.50 is really drowning together. I can't really hear what's going on to be honest.

So one of the things i would complain about in this song is the mastering. It could be better at many places, and again i found the piano a little bit random later in the song. The effects were good, but u didn't really keep my attention. If you wanted to do that, then you should add more variation. I didn't really like the choose of instruments though.

The song was good, but definaltly not my style.

"Enter the future of 3010 A.D!"

date: September 26, 2009

Incredible. So many things happening at once it's hard to keep count as to what's going on and what's about to go on.

It's one of those songs that two different styles collaborate and make something new out of the blue. I was surprised about the key changes you two changed back and forth, which is like the future's supposed to be in one's mind.

Congratulations to the both of you and I hope you manage to make another song together.

Author's Response:

Yea, there is definitely a lot of things going on in this song. It is by far the most intricate song I've ever worked on. The amount of layers throughout this song is tremendous really, because somehow we managed to make a great sound from all of the chaos.

Thanks for the review.

"great strong opening"

date: September 26, 2009

Great job with this one here man, really enjoyed listening to this one. Though I must say that I really liked the opening in this one, it was very strong and opened greatly for the rest of the song to come, good job with that. The best here was good, very strong and loud but not so much as to disturb the melody, good job with that. The melody here was good as well, very catchy and sounded very nest with all of the synths added, good job with that. Excellent job here man, 5/5 from me, keep up the good work! :)
