So here it is now... my promised DnB Track ;) I didn't plan to use this one but I finished it last night and I feel fine with it (untill someone more professional drops a review haha)

I picked up on a 2 weeks old fun loop I made after watching "District 9" (geat movie btw) and polished it a bit but THEN something happened. I was making my sub with 3xOsc and thought I can't do the same sub over and over again cause I usually play my sub on the 3rd octave and add Parametric EQ2 and FL Bass Boost at 40-60hz - but I wanted to play different this time and after learning some new bass techniques (thanks Para) and filtering and most important spending more time on my bass programming I changed the sub to what you hear now :D Yes this just a simple Sine with 3 Effects on it and it sounds so fucking wicked I want to do stick my dick into my sub >,<

I also noticed that I got many different basslines in my wip tracks without knowing and every single one sounds great and this really cheers me up cause I never thought I would ever reach this level of quality... I hope you enjoy this simple Loop, maybe I will work it out into a full Track someday ;)

DISTRICT 9 IS BEAST

great job with that bass it sounds really good, Id love to hear some ride cymbals behind that break tho

AeraDynamic responds:

yeah district 9 was great, I didnt use the sample after all but this is also great, maybe ill use it later or maybe not >,< Im afraid there are no cymbas for you, the break should be as minimal and lowbit as possible without making it too gameboy-ish sounding

catchy

really catchy, nice for anything really. my only complaint is how plain the bass is

what exactly did you record?

AeraDynamic responds:

the bass is so plain cuz its just a simple sine with overdrive for distortion and it was meant to be simple and plain to fith the idea of making something bitcrushed and... well simple. the drums has some c64 samples so its very videogame sounding so why should i do a superawesome high resolution effect reese for it? and what do you mean with "record" ?! ?_?

Certainly not bad.

Not as good as other things I've heard from you, bass-wise. As far as I can hear, the mixing is done pretty well, but you might want to turn the sub down a bit. It doesn't clash with the kick or anything, but I think it's a bit much. Other than that, I really have nothing to say other than the obvious "make it into a full song," "add effects," and "add an epic reese."

Good job.

9/10

AeraDynamic responds:

I played this in the back and made a reese in fl and played it live, sounds nasty :3 The bass is a tad too loud I agree but I can't be arsed changing it now lul

I've done better I know, I just wanted to make a different bass this time but keep it easy and simple. I didn't want to work my ass of it this time :P

Good

Not a bad loop. The only thing I would like to hear is a more grimier synth. If thats how u say it and more bass! Yup

AeraDynamic responds:

More bass?... dude this got plenty of bass :C is your subwoofer turned on lol?
