Here i just played around with some effects, and i wanted to see what kinda effects i could make using just my voice, and at some points my guitar.

I'm just not digging your stuff man. Not saying that your music is bad, but it just clashes with what I enjoy I guess. I thought the song really dragged on too long, but again makes for amazing ambient music if you can find something that needs 7 minutes of ambient music. It really could have ended after 3 minutes lol. I might have enjoyed it a bit better if it did.

The introduction was my favorite part though as it had this creepy feeling to it and almost reminded me of something such as Silent Hill or anything else that's unexplainable, scary, crazy, and/or creepy.

i defineatly understand, it's very mood specific music, and it's not for everyone.
I'll also make the song alittle shorter in the future.

Thanks for the review :)

Namaste.

A sort of creepy feel to it.

Experimental tracks aren't usually my cup of tea, so I can't give such a long review for these ones, but still, I was impressed by a lot of things in this track.

Obviously, the effects were great, but they're the main attraction of the song, so that's expected. There were some really awesome effects, and some extremely nice vocal work, especially the voices at 1:21, 3:49, 5:10 and 5:55. Still, 3:49 and 5:55 can't be your voice. A boy definitely can't go that high; you must've made the pitch higher or something on a sound editor. Still, the most important part was that they sounded very, very cool.

There were loads of other effects which impressed me as well, and the delay and reverb effects you put on them were great. Some effects really caught me off guard, like the ones at 0:30, 3:15, 4:59 and 5:45. The thing which annoyed me the most in this song was the guitar, though. It got quite repetitive in some parts, and sort of felt strange along with the rest of the song. You should either remove it and add some more individual guitar effects yourself (pick scraping, string scratching, etc.).

To summarize, it's one of the better experimental tracks I've heard, with some awesome sound effects here and there. The only thing which annoyed me most over here was the guitar. Other than that, good job!
8/10
5/5 because of some 0-bombing.

First of all, i swear, i didn't play around with the pitch of my voice, that is my voice, hey, if Mika can do it, why not me :P
Yeah, as i've said in down below, i really didn't put much effort into the guitar, as the effects were my main priority, but when i'm re-recording this particular song, i'll work more on the guitar, and see if i can make it not so repetitive.

Thanks for the review :)

Great Ambience

This is a nice sounding piece, but the guitar does get a little repetitive after a while. I know that ambience isn't supposed to distract from whatever the main feature of a piece is, but you could make the guitar sound a little different if you're adding variation in the forms of other sound effects. Those sounds aren't as dominant as the guitar, so it does end up with a nice sound, but the repeated guitar seems to drag on too long for me.

I think that you need to take about the last 30 seconds off the end of the track, as it's not really doing anything, just kind of a 'breezy' fade out, which could be brutally cut down to size. Taking a few bits out of the second half of the track will make it a more manageable piece that fits better to what you and flash authors might be looking for.

The reason I suggest cutting it down to size is that it's a 6.4 meg file - you want the animation to look good and do the tune justice, but only leaving an animator 3.6 meg to play with, if they haven't got "special dispensation" to submit a 10+ meg file, it probably won't be able to do your work justice.

I'll attempt to re-record this song in a couple of weeks with a better mic, i'll defineatly make it a bit shorter then, this was really just me wanting to test out some ideas, some worked out, and some didn't, so the finished version will defineatly be shorter.
I'll also work more on the guitar, as i focused completely on the effects, and added the guitar only to have a backdrop.

Thanks for the review :)

Hmm...

Not as good as the others definetely. This was quite a disappointment when comapred too the others.

Just a tip, normally making a whole song out of only sound effects is not a very good idea. You need some kind of melody, otherwise its too abstract and the listener loses interest quickly.

There were some pretty good sound effects in there though. maybe you could take a couple of these and put them in any future songs. Sound effects always help in terms of depth.

Not much to say about this. Its not your best although u did fine in terms of sound effects...

I understand completely, it is after all 6 minutes with the same chords repeated.
I made this song after listening to Monster Magnets Tab.....25, so i didn't bother putting to much work into the melody, as i just wanted to play around with effects.

Thanks for the review:)

Very experimental

There are some very good effects in there, good work.

The song is pretty relaxing on the one hand. But on the other hand with all those effects going on it gets pretty creepy, especially towards the end.

It's a bit hard to review this song, as I like to come up with some small stories for ambient songs. But here, no story comes to my mind.
Maybe it's again a small journy, but this time not of a real person but instead of his soul. It gets "dragged out" of the body in the intro and goes on a long and pretty eventful journy.
At first it is happy to be rid of the body, the song is pretty relaxing (at around the 2 minute mark).

But more and more sinister forces try to get a hold of the soul and it tries to find it's way back into the body, but doesn't quite make it...

That's a very interesting way of interpreting the song, never really thought of any meaning to this song, as i mostly just experimented with the effects, but it's cool that some "meaning" can still be found.

Thanks for review :)
