I felt the need to make a new rock song. I'm not sure at this point whether to kick off a new album or not, considering my lack of time to dedicate to the idea, but nonetheless, here it is. If so, the album will be titled "When All is Stripped Away".

These lyrics, like many others you've heard from me in the past (excluding the ones that Brian Buyea wrote), are mostly inspired by a need I have to humble people who seem to think they've transcended their own humanity and have become like gods. Sad to say, there are too many of those people in the world, and like any debater, the best way to combat their mentality is to present your argument on their grounds of thinking. In short, yes, much of this is directed toward the church. >.>

ALL THE SAME
(music, lyrics, and vocal performance by George R. Powell (Setu Firestorm))
---
(v1)
Angel or demon, which are you?
a darkened light or a dim-lit shade
Why don't you look? Why should you care?
It's not like we all don't have our

Closets with our skeletons
Rotting away plaguing our hearts
with vile inadequacy
I know, we know

(CHORUS)
Why do we Shame
we're all the same
fight the fight
uphold our names

What will we say
on the day
When the Light shines through
and shows us we're all the same

(v2)
Hero or villain, which are you?
Corrupted warrior or Real-World stain
Why don't you look? Why do you hide?
Do you fear that you might find a

Sad pathetic face looking back
in the mirror of your heart
Is it that much weight for you to bear
I know, we know

(BRIDGE)
Why point to the splinter in my eye
When we are simply made of wood
Why are the damned first to condemn
Do you think they even should?

Too good to be true.

This music is brilliant, surely you would make millions if you released this album (when it is finished).
Unfortunately, I know too many people who think they have transcended humanity, indeed that goes for most people who go to the same school as me. You transcend their humanity, that's for sure. I will make sure to quote your bridge at them, see their reaction. A flawed diamond is better than a flawless pebble. 5/5, 10/10, favourited.

Impressive

This is a very catchy song.
The tune is really nice I think the music fits the lyrics you wrote perfect.

To the lyrics: Simply great. Meaningful and still very "light". It's so true to a lot of people nowadays to think that some people are better and some are worse, Just let them listen your song and hope they get the meaning ;)

I love the bridge the most (heard that term today for the first time...)

I'm really impressed.

And sorry for non-constructive review, I don't know anything about composing music...

Setu-Firestorm responds:

It's quite alright. Many people don't give entirely too-detailed reviews most of the time anyway.

I do appreciate the input you gave, though. =)
