**Update: Changed the tone of one of the synths slightly (the wind-like thing that plays from 1:07 to 1:28 and again at the end). For some reason it sounded more detuned and noisy when I first exported it to how it did in the program. This has been fixed.**

I started this one waaay back near in the first few months of the year, and I've only just finished it. There were a lot of awkward obstacles I had to try and break through, but I think overall it works fairly well. =/
Kind of like a slow DnB.
Sorry for the minute long intro; you can skip past it if you want. =)

Anyway, vote and review please!

You know, I saw the word techno and expected. . .

nothing more than some cheezy, weak @ss bass laden track, NDS------>
Then I saw the length of your track, a whopping 5 minutes and 14 seconds and thought to myself "Wow, how long's it gonna take for me to wanna gouge out my own eyes?".
After listening to your song, I found something I wasn't really expecting to find here. I heard a well composed, bangin' bass havin', non-predictable beats bearing and a darkly touched sound, all contained comfortably, within. My personal favorite part of the song was from 2:46 and afterwards. I'm now excited about going back to your userpage and giving your other songs a chance as well.

I was wrong in assuming something about you, as a composer (or even as simply, a human), by the genre your song fits into. I guess that's what I get for assuming things. *widens my eyes at you, as if referring to some inside joke, betwixt the two of us and heads over to read your reply, left to my previous post again*
I'm glad you left a comment there for me, NDS, or I would have probably never run across your music. Thanks again, Man.

.............Take care, be good and sporadically branch out and differ.period

What happened to "their"?

Haha, I was considering putting this song in Industrial perhaps, but I'm not really sure it fits in any pre-defined genre. As for the unpredictability of it, I try to do something different with each new work I make. I don't understand how people can make songs that stay at the same volume level all the way through, repeating the same beats. I'd just get stuck if I tried to do that.

My favourite part is from about 3:26 to 3:41, though I like a few other bits around that area as well. I'm not really sure my previous submissions are up to the quality of this (I seem to have little to show for my improvement over the past year) but there are a few that I'm happy with. Most are a lot faster and crazier than this one though, which is more laid back.

Not really sure exactly what you're referring to about my comment and "assuming things". Didn't I just say something like "I think hentai is weird"?

Thanks for reviewing; I love getting reviews! I'm trying to encompass some other styles so I'll definitely be branching out a bit more. I'm glad you liked it!

Lazy reviewer is lazy.

I'm sure you already have my opinion, so whatever.

This sounds SO familiar...

Im straining my stupid semi-frozen brain to try and work out where IVE HEARD THIS BEFORE. Did you show me the Flp. sometime or something? I just cant seem to remember. The only part I dont remember hearing is... well; everything on the latter side of 02:13. Anyways, this was well put together and enjoyable to listen to, it is a little slow as DnB goes, but I think it works.
Me likes.

Yeah, I sent you an unfinished MP3 of it ages ago on Xfire, remember? 2:13 was where I was stuck for close to forever until like, a few weeks ago.

Hey, that's pretty cool. You didn't go like... all crazy with filling out the song, but that actually works out pretty well. There's a nice balance of intensity with chill-osity.
You have a lot of really cool stuff in this piece, but some of your composition is left feeling just a little bid disjunct. You pull it right back on the road, but it sounds like occasionally though the song you start swerving this way and that.
You've mastered the track well, the song is interesting without requiring a great deal of attention (it would be good for a video game or flash movie), and your soundspace is nicely filled. I really like the mood you set, and it's a cool blend of DnB with some sort of trance or... something.
Salt.
That's all I can really say, except that your title is pretty bad still. A lot of people don't even know that divarication is a word in English. :P
Overall, I really like it. Good job.

Thesaurus attack! Yeah, I didn't know what either of those words meant before I looked them up. Names just don't occur to me very easily and I've developed a habit of looking up "impressive" words to use with each other for titles. I may hopefully beak that tradition soon.

I meant for the song to change its bass-line a lot throughout, but some of the transitions weren't done as well as they could have been. It's my first time writing this style of music, so I surprised myself that I could even come up with the inspiration for it. I knew that it definitely had to get back to that main tune, though.

I didn't master it so much as reduce the volume until it was hardly clipping and then put a little Soft Clipper on for good measure during the louder parts. I just wonder how people can create extremely loud tracks without getting any kind of distortion. I guess that's where compression and limiting comes in.

This is definitely a tone-down in intensity from the other crap that I've been submitting.

Thanks for reviewing! I'm glad you liked it.
