That type of synth is called a reese. There's really no right or wrong way to make a reese, but the most common approach is to take two sawtooth waves then modulate. Just go to youtube and search " reese tutorial." Don't forget to add the program you use to the search query. You'll get some really helpful videos with that bit.

This is really awesome... for one thing, i know it's a demo for the EP, but it loops perfectly, which is awesome. :D

Anyway, this is really cool man. I like the combo of he really weird bass that plays after the percussion comes in. The softness of the piano is great, and combined with the the grungy sound of the bass, it really gives a pumping feel.

I could totally see this on the EP. :D
