Not much to say, I think it's pretty self-explanatory.

every day i wake up, groggy as can be
grumbling until i have had my cup of tea,
but not just any leaves will suit me,
there's just one that will make me happy;
So I run to the pantry, and fervently search
for something to help me stop this lurch,
throw boxes everywhere, mess up the floor,
but I gotta have it, I crave it, for sure,
so I finally find the box, and open it up,
put the kettle on and get out a cup,
boil the water, and then drop the tea in,
and steep it so I can let the rush begin;
A few minutes is so little to pay,
when I think of the flavour coming my way,
the best tea ever, my choice every day,
is a little taste of heaven, bring me my Earl Gray

Throw the leaves in and let it steep,
Look around the house and start to creep,
Waiting for my tea, feels like a week,
Leaving me feeling irrepressibly weak,
So I run back in and take a peek,
Just to see the fruit I am soon to reap;
Time for games, and time for play,
it's time to drink some of my Earl Gray

Minutes later, the tea is finished up,
so I rush in and grab my cup,
Grab it by the handle, the cup is epic hot,
Like lava just filled it to the top
take it out and turn on the TV
to see the sights that world can offer me,
but really, I can't say that I care,
the TV is just there to fill up the air,
as I am too enraptured by my tea,
to pay any attention to the world around me;
The citrus flavour plays with my tongue,
and makes my taste buds come undone,
I grab some sugar and throw it in
to let the flavour really begin;
I stir it in, and then drink it down,
I sit back, and let the drink go to town.

Throw the leaves in and let it steep,
Look around the house and start to creep,
Waiting for my tea, feels like a week,
Leaving me feeling irrepressibly weak,
So I run back in and take a peek,
Just to see the fruit I am soon to reap;
Time for games, and time for play,
it's time to drink some of my Earl Gray

The flavour is like that of no other earthly treat,
An ambrosia for humans, our finest feat,
Leaves and hot water could never be so great
if they weren't the most delectable Earl Gray.
And so I allow myself to finish it up,
take it to the sink and wash out the cup,
feeling revitalized and awake for today,
as though living is no longer out of the way,
I head out of the door and run along
with my mind running and my body feeling strong;
Taking on the world one event at a time,
I know that everything will be fine;
But, truth be told, there is something I must admit,
Though I am not embarassed to say it
I can't wait for tomorrow, that I must say,
the day when I get some more Earl Gray.

Throw the leaves in and let it steep,
Look around the house and start to creep,
Waiting for my tea, feels like a week,
Leaving me feeling irrepressibly weak,
So I run back in and take a peek,
Just to see the fruit I am soon to reap;
Time for games, and time for play,
it's time to drink some of my Earl Gray
