"Hm..."

date: November 1, 2009

I'm sorry but this only deserves a six...

Melody was way too repetitive and like Coop83 mentions with utter icredulence (:P) Seven Notes? U defintely need to vary the melody even though u had a good starting melody there.

It didn't loop that well either, there's too much of a skip from outro to intro (although these were virtually non existent...)

Overall, its not bad for a melody, but it definetely needs improvement.

"Seven notes?"

by: Coop83

Come on man, I know that you're better than this as much as you do - this is a little lazy and it does take away from the tune, by having by my count six or seven notes, balanced by the sand dancer and the bongos.

I think that the track could be a lot longer and have much more variation, without really detracting from the calm, soothing ambience that you seem to be projecting. I'd say that it kind of sounds like a desert island beach, with how simply it's put together. Give it time and a little more effort and you'll have something much better.

"Sweet, but maybe too short"

date: October 31, 2009

Don't know if this is meant to be a work in progress or what, but it's nice but needs more.

Bring out the percussion section more, it'll help the song progress smoother, and liven it up a bit.

The obvious is extend it, build off of the melody that you've given. It's a nice melody, but gets too repetitive when you listen to it to long.

This could be a nice little latiny song here, just keep on working on it, would love to hear the final product, unless this is the final product that is lol. =3

"Expected something different"

date: October 30, 2009

"Say goodbye forever" doesn't sound too happy. But the tune is quite cheerful and doesn't sound like a "goodbye" at all, let alone a "goodbye forever".

Anyway, the melody is really nice but it's rather short. It just loops over and over again. I wished there was something more happening, like some build up to a complete song with this melody as the main theme throughout the song.

Author's Response:

I'm told to make complete songs all the time. But Idk... I always get distracted. And as for the names, I start playing in Minor, but I ALWAYS end up in Major...

My attention span is just WAY short.
