I heard all the orchestral stuff spit out for this contest and decided to take a different route. The ending is too rushed I think but i guess it'll do for now. Otherwise, enjoy! Ill be editing this tonight and tomorrow before i submit it [contest deadline is Monday aug 17]. gimme feedback and ill work on it :D

"Sounds like a mix between"

Jet Force Gemini [remastered], and... hmm..... can't put my finger on the other sound I recognize. But anyway, hell of a job. Excellent flow, nice tune, not too repetitive - you seem to shift it just in time. Great job. Time to download. :)

if i knew what that song was, i'd comment on it :)

though yeah, i tried to make this for what might work in a club, which means that repetitiveness is fine but that it does need to change up significantly after a while. i guess i did a good balance on timing for that. lots of ppl on newgrounds make their stuff as endless loops, so i try specifically not to do that :) though i still think it needs to develop more.

thanks for listening and i'm glad you like it!

This really is some neat stuff! The piano part is just sooo epic man! Love what you did there. And then the awesome violins... I haven't heard anything like this before... (well the violins sound a bit like: "Let the game begin" of Tiësto's cd In search of sunrise 5 cd 1 XD, but then more epic... Wow

Not much else to say, I guess...

"Very nice"

I think that this started off a little slowly, but soon made up for it - the basic sound that you've got going to pace the track just sounds a little boring in the first minute or so - perhaps try just changing something a little in that, before it fizzes out and passes to the piano, becoming a firm backing piece.

I think that you've got a good sounding piece and this can only really be helped by a few things - making it a better loop for starters would certainly help, especially cutting down the intro for the second time around if that's possible at all.

Stopping the melody and the counter melody, allowing the bass solo was good, but you didn't capitalise on it - it deserved to do more, then it just fades out to the ending, which was a shame. Ram that home with some great bass samples and then bring back the melody and counter melody.

Author's Response:

yeah i think that the ending really didn't do the song justice, and hte intro was extended a bit for if the song were longer and to be integrated into a dj set. i think it was varied enough that it isn't a bore, so i think i'll keep it ;) i also wasnt intending for this to loop--the audio portal has moved away from being the tools of flash users to its own autonomous music portal--so i intend it to be a song in itself and thats how i plan to keep it.

thanks for the review!

"Good"

A pretty good song, not too repitive as most house and techno songs tend to be and very nice melodies and beats.

I like the instruments and sounds you used. They sound a lot different from what you can normally hear in the audio portal.
