Easy Listening - Jazz

Author Comments

I love this piece. I've only been able to love it for the last three days, however - because it only took me that long.

You might notice that it strays a bit from jazz. Surprise. =D

If it seems short - it is.

If you think you might be drooling because of some of the piano solos... ummm. You are.

'Nuff said, so shut up and enjoy... and leave me a comment 0 _o ... ;D

Mysterious - is that the right word?

It kind of reminds me of the pink panther thing. Not only because of the percussion, but just the way the piano starts off. I love 1:06 or so....that whole part with the keyboard solo thing. Very cool song

ObsidianSnow responds:

Sure, "mysterious" works. I definitely see how you heard a bit of a pink-pantheresque theme in here, too.

Thanks for your review, quesman.

The song was amazing. Especially considering the fact you don't have a keyboard. Simply amazing. I loved it and I hope you make more in the future. Good luck with getting that keyboard!

ObsidianSnow responds:

Hey, thanks a lot. Hopefully I can get that keyboard someday in the near(ish) future... I better watch that, though - I think I might be getting a little power hungry with the concept of becoming master of the musicverse dancing in front of me. XD I might end up in a room with white padded walls or some such (I hear the sound of those is a little on the dull side).

Seriously though - thanks for your review, sithman05.

..."Master of the musicverse"? Doesn't that sound a little like Heman and the masters of the universe to you? I'm just imagining myself lifting a keyboard like a sword yelling "I HAVE THE POWER!!!" ...Skeletor and his bone flute will have nothing on me.

...Ok, that's enough for the rediculous fictional nonsense and bad jokes for now.

At first, it kinda reminded me of the music from SHIFT 3, but then it got a whole lot crazier and awesomer! but how the hell did you do this without a MIDI keyboard?

ObsidianSnow responds:

Lol how did I do it? Lets just say I spent an excessive amount of time screwing around with really small settings like quantization and expression. I was a bit anal about this one XD

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Oobeedoop. Thanks for another review!
(And maybe someday I'll have that MIDI keyboard... and I'll become the master of the musicverse or some other fictional nonsense. ;P )

The piano sounds great.
(i may sound simplistic, but thats because i dont know how to express my feelings toward this piece with any word i can think of )

ObsidianSnow responds:
