Nostalgia In Space (NG Cut)

*This is an NG cut, which means the intro and ending drums have been cut off allowing this to go straight to the point. Also, the quality is lower because it is on 128kbps, while the radio cut is 192kbps and the original mix is 320kbps.*

After like 4 monthes since my last piece, I come back with another Progressive House track. This one allowed me to work on my mixing as well as my mastering, which I believe, still needs a little more work.

Nostalgia in Space is one of my more emotional tracks, focusing more on different progressions and atmosphere throughout the tune. This makes it differ from the song's counter-part, Feels Like Meh. Also, this track uses subtle hat programming without the use of loops, which I haven't done since Final Thought. Like all my productions, this track is done entirely within Propellerhead's Reason 4.

So on to track details and discoveries:
-I found out that it is better to manipulate drums on the NNXT sampler than just running it on ReDrum. Also, the drum samples sound better in quality when I use NNXT for some reason so I decided not to use ReDrum at all.
-I also improved how I layer my claps and snares, giving it a little more punch by sliding some of the samples right before the kick drum.
-I now use the SubTractor synth for my bass patches and I route it through a vocoder EQ because it sounds a lot more heavy as opposed to a regular EQ.
-All drum samples are layered, with no loops added.

Track Summary:
Time Spent - 7-9 days
Samples used - Xfer xfrscd01, Reason Sound Bank
Instruments used - Thor, Subtractor, NNXT Sampler
Influences - Dinka (Green Leaf), Adam K & Soha (Who Cares)
Programs Used - Propellerhead's Reason 4

Wow... Very impressive! You really should collaborate with F-777.

I hope this doesn't offend you... but I feel like this song should have been used for the opening of one of the Tekken video games. :D

After how ever many years, I'm back, yes, this song was the first song i ever heard from you and now, I'm still heavily addicted to your songs.
Great work and I'm hoping that in about 10 minutes I'll be finding some new stuff :D

woahwoahwoahwoahwoah!!

What do we have here...
We have one of the greatest progressive house tracks that I've heard on newgrounds.
I think a slightly longer kick would be good, and a slightly stronger bass.
Nice structure for a radio edit.
Otherwise. awesome :D
10/10
