"Excellent"

date: August 25, 2009

Man, I really like the songs you make that are without lyrics, they're epic. This was no exception.

I really love that melody, especially the melody with the strings. So, so catchy... The beginning was excellent. The brass instrument gave a very mighty feel to the song, the booming percussion helped, and the sound effect at 0:06 left a tingle up my spine. Great choice of instruments in general.

The transitions were done very well. I extremely enjoyed the transition at 1:08, it changed one melody to another very perfectly. The intro, as I already said, was amazing, but the ending, although the piano did sound cool, ended pretty strangely, since I expected the piano to go on a little longer, then the song finishing where all the instruments play together.

The drums were extraordinary. The drums at the beginning were very cool, but I think the main drum beat that came in at around 1:10 was a tad on the repetitive side. Still, the drum samples were amazing, and overall the drums fit perfectly with the song.

Definitely one of your best songs up to date in my opinion. I'm shocked to find out this didn't make it to the top 5. Keep up the great work, I'd love to hear more instrumental songs from you :D.

Thanks for the in-depth review! We'll be looking how to improve our future works from reviews like yours (sorry it took so long to respond). I can agree that a true climax/ending to the song would have completed it. And in retrospect, we should have spend more time on the drums during the second half of the piece.

Thanks again for the review, we hope to hear from you on our future works. Also, if you liked this piece, check out our Cinematic Soundscapes Myspace (myspace.com/cinematicsoundscapes) for more pieces along these lines.

"Varry Good..."

As usual, I like this one because it's a vary epic song that sounds like it should belong to a battle seen in a move. Also no vocals was a good choice because It would have a totally different feel to it. (Downloaded)
