Here's my contest entry for nathans contest that I kinda winged in about 30 minutes, aka messing around and only playing a few takes of the adlib. Don't take this too seriously I didn't put alot of mind into it, I just kind of messed around with the melody and had fun I guess.

I think I'm breaking a rule but whatever, at least people can hear a nice variation from all those orchestrated versions.

Oh yeah, I apologize for my awful keyboard piano sound, I used line recording. I guess if it becomes such a hit I'll put more effort into this and resubmit haha.

Slower - but not boring. Great piano work.

"Easy listening!"

Here's my review (thanks for reviewing mine!)

Very relaxing mood, it would make great background music for a casual conversation in restaurant or something in a motion picture. Kind of makes me think of those Detective pictures where they're saying their monologues and such the whole movie.

Anyway, personally this is not my favorite style of music, but I can appreciate good work nonetheless! The only cons I have are that it's a bit repetitive, but it loops VERY well so I guess I can't complain since it's over a minute and all.

the simplicity was just great. you hit all the perfect chords and harmonies there. dynamics were spot on, and this really felt powerful and full of raw emotion. the piano, admittedly, could have been brighter hehe. wonderful nonetheless.

i think nathan said somewhere that you have to have more than just a piano though since it is an orchestration contest, but whatever haha. ill take anything new and this was really good. props!

[plz check out my sub! its also a different take from the orchestrated stuff here ;)]

"I disagree with you, the piano is great!"

It's a very nice sounding recording. I agree with everyone else in that this sounds like something for a coffee shop or some sort of poetry reading jazz club. Only thing I can suggest is change the genre to Jazz. Everything else is perfect.
