This is my second piece using the library in Symphonic Orchestra Gold. It is a remake/expansion of another piece of mine, "Moving to the Frontlines" (if you've never heard it, maybe give it a listen and compare the two. Tell me which version you like most). I shortened it to "To the Frontlines" as I felt the moving wasn't really necessary. Anyways, I hope you like it, and please review if you have the time. It is much more satisfying to read a person's thoughts on my piece rather than guess at them based on voting.

Plus, if you give me a low score, but don't review, I wouldn't be able to know who you are, and therefore wouldn't be able to hunt you down ;)

Enjoy!

Edit 7/30/09- Reuploaded with different mastering settings, as it sounded like it was recorded underwater. Hope it's better now.

Edit 8/12/09-Change subtle things like panning and levels. Hopefully my last revision.

Hey love the piece, absolutely breathtaking. the one thing i would try to change is how the strings sound so synthesized, but all-in-all a great peice

Definitely Amazing

This is a wonderful piece. The ONLY thing I dislike about this version over the old is at 0:30. You replaced the trumpets with some annoying NES synthesizer sound. It cuts right through the other instruments and, I feel, detracts from the overall experience. The trumpets always make me think of war, going off to battle. It's epic. I guess it sounds like a harmon-muted trumpet, but it's so distorted that it would be better to put it back the way it was or just completely replace them with the snare drums.

Overall, wonderful listening experience. Sound quality kills the old version. This has earned a permanent spot on my playlist.

varrin7 responds:

Well, I've been thinking about making one more version, but I think I'll wait on it, collect what everyone thinks could be improved, and make a final, grand version of this piece.

a masterpiece that can only be described as amazin

this song is turely a master piece that can be used in any sort of war movie. If its the being or the end it will work any were. I couldn't belive the ideas i had for so many movies with this song. And for that I must thank the author of this song. I might use it for a Iwo Jima reactment when there rasing the flag. If the author wants to see the video i will send him a link from youtube.

varrin7 responds:

Yeah, please send me the link, I'd love to see the vid!
And thanks for the review.

Magnificent!

A simply breathtaking piece.

Would it be ok if a friend of mine used this in a movie of his?

varrin7 responds:

Yeah, sure no problem. Is it possible that I could see the movie when it's done?
I'm just curious as to the things my music is being used in. But sure, I see no problem in your friend using this. No money is being made off of this I hope? Otherwise I would want a cut. But if not, feel free to use it.
