This is a remix of one of my songs from a couple years ago(even though I posted it in October). I felt that it was changed enough to be a whole new song.
You are the reason why my sun goes down
I look at you and I see beauty in the way you move
You harbor life and love, and death just by your every sound
You tell me that you always have one foot suck on the ground
But I know better when you're drifting off into the sea
I've seen my share of shipwrecks, and my share of mutiny
I guess I'll let the ship with red sails leave me my body
My heart goes out with it, I'm land locked for eternity
Your ship is going down
I found your letter in the bottle that you sent for me
Mixed in the wreckage next to red sails washed up on the beach
Your message lets me know your final thoughts would rest on me
The next time I see you will be on the floor of the sea
At last you've learned to keep both of your feet stuck on the ground
I hope that what you died for is exactly what you found
And now the ocean is the reason why my sun goes down
My heart was lost with you, and I don't know what to do now
Land Locked for eternity
Your ship is going down
[(Best of the week of July 29th-August 4th update!)
First of all. Thanks a fucking million to any and everyone who made this happen.
Second, I'd like to answer a few questions I've been getting in PMs/reviews about this song:
I composed this song in Reason 3.0
I know the lyrics are hard to understand. This is intentional, because I wanted the vocal track to be a part of the song, rather than on top of it, so i used the vocoder, and turned down the volume on the vocals, equal to the other instruments.
I have no plan of re-making this song with a non-vocoded voice, but i suppose anything's possible.
I made the original Land Locked, which this is remixed from.
I was the singer in both versions.
And yes, I composed the lyrics to this song.
Once again, thank you all so much for your continual support! I love reviews, and PM's. I've gotten back to everything anyone's said!
