A Subconscious Prison

I thought I had escaped
I thought I had finally broken free
Maybe this world isn't for me
Maybe it was never meant to be

To be trapped in a surrealistic state of mind
It is a prison to never be broken free of
To be trapped in this eternal damnation
It is a fate created by a devious tormentor

The thoughts only besieging
The emotions run empty
Can this even be considered life
Or am I already dead

This nightmare will never end
My subconscious is now my prison

"The guy below me..."

date: October 4, 2009

... is just mad that he didn't get his usual serving of dick for breakfast from his domestic partner.

To be fair though, I can't give anything higher than a 7 because it did become a bit untidy in the last 3/4 of the track, but also couldn't give it any less than a 7 because effort was put in and it's got some potential. Just my 2 cents...

Author's Response:

Thank you and as for composition and playing I've gotten far better since. Also I sure if I redid it I could do better on the mixing as well.

Ummmm, you need to cheer up a bit. You have all your life, and .... you will need all that time to learn your guitar better.

Author's Response:

Wow, just a pompous ass. I need not say anymore for sad arrogant bastards like you. PM me if you've really got something to say though, I'd really like to hear your empty words.

"so much emotion"

date: August 20, 2009

how much time did you put on this? what gear do you use? I'm digging this. if you want check out my stuff. i give you a five and a nine. reason for the nine is the length and the fact i didn't want it end.

Author's Response:

Thanks dude, my gear for this was my Line 6 Spider 3 and Epi Les Paul. Also, I'd say I put around maybe 6 hours into this piece. Glad you liked.

Also, I agree. It probably should have been longer, so who knows, maybe a part 2?

"Loved it until the lyrics started..."

date: August 13, 2009

I loved the first 20 seconds of it, but then it just died when the singer started singing... :( Sorry, guess I just don't like your voice, but then again, you're talking more then singing.

Author's Response:

I'm not sure if you read the other reviews, but I wasn't singing. It's all spoken word.

"Messy"

date: July 22, 2009

As a drummer I couldn't help but notice how un-tight it is after 0:40. Timing is important! Other then that it's not too bad.

Author's Response:

I think it is too, just a tad and it's mostly the solo that makes it sound like it's a bit off.
