This is dedicated to the old genre known as New Beat, which lasted from 1988 to 1991. Many acts came out at the time, including Lords of Acid, Amnesia, Confettis, 101, Public Relations, etc. This is supposed to sound raw and gritty, and ironically this is better produced than most of the stuff that came out 21 years ago.

Roland TR909 for Drums
Dot Com Modular Analog Synth used for Bass
Akai AX-60 used for Lighter Pad
Andromeda A6 used for vocal pad
Ensoniq SQ80 used for annoying high pitched part.

i love it

yeah, you are right, back then they weren't that good at producing^^
this sond has a great vibe, somehow i have to think of this movie with jackie chan, where he's in a desert and finds this old nazi gold :D
good stuff

architecture responds:

funny thing is, people have told me this isnt dirty enough! It wasnt that people could produce, the machines were very limited in what they could do. Most people making EDM back in the 80s got their machines next to dumpsters that people were dumping left and right. To be honest, I rather listen to the early dance music than the new stuff, it all sounds the same these days.
