Spent 4 days in a studio (That has literally a million dollars of equipment) making this song. All sounds from scratch, cept for a couple samples. I probably spent 11 hours or so on this one. This may be the best thing I have ever created. Kick from scratch, Whooshing stuff, etc.

This song is loaded with "ear candy", weird effects and stuff. Hope you like them.

It's called eternal arcade because it is about video games. Thats why. Hooray!

Listen to the whole thing. This took FOREVER.

This has three parts.

Length:6:00.000.00. I HATE newgrounds' audio player length bug.
Program: Logic express.

I can't move my fingers anymore. Just listen. It's progressive. Woo!

Hopefully it's balanced and mastered right.

Enjoy! If you like it, favorite it.

statueofdiveo responds:

Hah, this used to be at 2.91. Thanks!

Good

I like the video game tunes you put in. They fit in so nicely here that at first I thought you created those yourself. Then on second thought I was like "Huh? That was the sound from Pac Man wasn't it? Yes it was... nice."
What I'm trying to say is that I like how subtly you put those sounds in here.

I like how the song changes over the time. It keeps me interested in the song, because I really want to know how the song developes.

Great work!

Also: The score is far too low. Must've been some "zero bombers" at work there. :/

Thanks so much man, I agree.

Changes so much

Seriously, this is like a few songs all in one - the different video game sounds that you've sampled alone must span generations of arcade patrons, just to get the right audio you required.

I think that the number of times that it changed for piece to piece, you could have considered making this into a number of separate entities, just to try and keep the variation up in a number of songs. Unless of course you are planning on using this for one of your own flash projects, that is.

It's got some good sounds, like the Pac Man death, which I thought was a very nice touch. Perhaps some vocal samples from various VGs would help - personally, I'd have thrown in "Mortal Kombat" (cliche, I know) and "Resident Evil", as they are quite recognisable and they carry quite a kick with them on the evocative front.

statueofdiveo responds:

I agree. I kinda like the 3 parts. It gives length and variety.

Nice and relaxed

I liked the calm, relaxed feel to it, and many of the effects and 'ear candy' sounded really nice.

It felt like it suddenly changed the entire mood at about 2 mins, which was disappointing, because I was happy listening to the first bit..It gradually got back to the good bit though, so it was okay :)

The ending seemed a tiny bit lazy..try and have a longer outro, I think it would have worked better.

statueofdiveo responds:

Relaxed?

NIIICE

Chords are great. Sound FX are great. Bass is cool. I like the tempo change at 1:54. Some soundFX get repedetive. I like the reverses, too. PACMAN.

Especially like the happy ending.

statueofdiveo responds:

its a signature change doh.
