"intro is very grating.."

and I do mean unpleasantly grating - it made me wince.
the piano is nice though - as well as the pulsey strings.
some parts sound a bit awkward but oh well. not a big fan of that synth around 1:15.. your ears eventually adjust to it though.. I still find it a bit too sharp though compared to the washed out piano and strings in the background.
it also needs another synth - for the most part you're coasting on a lot of background melody - 3:05 gets a little into that - but more complex melodyt would probably maintain the listener's attention :) - shake it up a bit!
