I met a fan of mine at the Hero of Time premiere named Justin M. (aka "Shadowhawk") and he had asked me to compose a bouncy but full piece for his demoreel video. This piece is the result.

Most of the piece was made within FL Studio 8 (producer edition) and I topped it off with strings, brass, and a piano part within Nuendo using Edirol Orchestral.

Yeah, my personal style tends to usually be more mellow pieces. I probably could do some really attacking and forefront techno pieces, but I normally don't do techno unless I'm commissioned.

This is a stunning piece as always, and, since I am looking to get into this kind of thing, I wonder, what programs all do you use and what would you suggest for the most universal styles?

Well, like I said in the song description, I used FL Studio for most of it. I only brought the piece into Nuendo to add strings and a few other instrument parts to it.

For anything that's a techno style, FL Studio's the best way to go. It's pattern-based (you create patterns however many measures or even beats long as you want, and you paste the patterns you've created into a song graph), which makes it more ideal for the style.
