What we feel is hard,
But we both know...
If we-want to last -
We must go on...
Just move on.
Oh,
Despite odds we will,
Live on live on,
With you dear-
Forgive you dear,
Forgiven dear,
Just forget dear.
Hide - your heart dear for the world...will not spare you,
Be mine dear,
I'll be there,
Give me your heart
I will protect...
Wait my dear...
Forgive, forget....

"So emotional..."

date: November 9, 2009

It definetely portrays the feelings you wanted to set out. It imiiedetely has a mournful air and seeing as the style is similar to that of the Romantic Period, it looks like you chose a good idea to start with.

You used varied melodies in mroe parts and the heavy chords set it off well although in some parts these overwhelmed the main melody quite a bit.

Overall, you did a very good job on this, you almost got a ten XD. Just keep up the good work and ull be getting tens in no time...

"Mournful"

by: Coop83
date: November 7, 2009

I think that this track shows a feeling of sorrow, loss and mourning. The one thing that I hear from it is that you haven't gone down into the deepest part of the bass chords and started to try to give us something that backs up the higher pitched quick melody that you constructed. I'm certain that it would have given and additional dynamic to the tune itself, no doubt.

The lyrics seem to be in good shape, but I would certainly recommend that you get someone to perform them for you, so that you can include them in the piece, to see if that gives across any further emotion for the piece that you already have.

"No lessons and you manage to make a great song?"

date: November 6, 2009

Wow, that's impressive. This is quite an emotional piece, and it's really well done. Good job.

Sad melodies... this song is full of them. There were many melodies here to stop the song from becoming boring, and there are some really nice melodies, especially towards the end with the fast notes at 1:51, as Thief1337 said. You should've continued the song a little more like that, since it sort of came and went so suddenly without any reason. Then you could try and end the song slowly and softly after. As Kirbyfemur said, it was nice to have some parts with silence in them instead of non-stop notes.

What I didn't like was that you practically stayed at the same volume of the piano, with no changes in the automation throughout, or if there was, just a little. I'd like some tempo changes, like rallentandos, and times when the song plays softer. Maybe a few crescendos, that is, the song goes from soft to loud, and stuff like that. A piano piece isn't a piano piece without that kind of stuff ;).

The piano sample was great quality... I'm actually wondering if that's a real piano or not O_o. The lyrics are really well written. I'm not usually the one to enjoy lyirics in songs, but that's only my opinion, and I'm sure the song would be much better off with those lyrics sung with it. Maybe you could even try and post another version of this with more instruments like strings and stuff.

The transitions were all done perfectly, and the song flowed very smoothly. The variety in this piece is extraordinary. There was no fixed chorus, but I won't reduce marks for that, because I think it sounds better without a chorus. Intro was great, a nice way to start the song, but the ending was quite abrupt. Try an arpeggio ending; they usually work out well in piano songs, or you can repeat the fast notes for another bar, and then end it how you did.

This is a really nice piece; if only Newgrounds could appreciate piano songs like this... Oh well, it's a good song, and I enjoyed it. Just needs more tempo/volume changes IMO, a better ending, and maybe if you could make it longer that'd be great :3.

"Touching"

date: November 5, 2009

Very touchy. The music AND the lyrics. Yeah, you should add the lyrics to the song. :)

It's a very slow song and it keeps itself nicely in the background so that a singer with a strong voice would stand out pretty well here. Without the vocals the song sounds kind of unfinished. There's just the feeling that something is missing there. Maybe I shoulnd't have read the lyrics before listening to the song at least once. :/

Anyway, it's still a touching song, even without vocals. :)

"Very pretty"

date: October 30, 2009

I like what you've got going here. I like the fact that you don't just try to continuously have notes being played throughout, you allow there to be space in between the notes. It has enough goinging for it to help keep it from being too repetitive.

A few pointers. Maybe ad more dynamic levels, I feel that there seems t be only two distinct levels of volume in the song. It helps build tension in the song, and add more emotion to it.

Good work here though. =3
