i was in grade 10 at the time so i was all up in the pop-punk scene

i thought it would be fun to rerecord it

It's good despite how short it is. The tune is catchy and the lyrics well written, your singing isn't bad either. You still get a pop-punk voice without stepping into Blink-182 land of nasally whining. Try expanding it, you already have a good drum intro and current bit you have would make for a great chorus. Try and make a verse, a bridge, maybe a solo if you feel like it.
