This is the full song of the cover Brain Damage done acoustically. The original song was created by Pink Floyd from the Album: Dark Side of the Moon (1973).

My singing isn't impressive per say, but hopefully you'll enjoy it. This is still my favorite song to play to this day.

"Relaxing"

date: July 5, 2009

I don't know this song, but it sounds like you did a good job of covering it..

It was really calm and relaxing, and the vocals were good. It reminded me of the soundtrack of Juno, which is a good thing I guess..

You seemed to hesitate to get the chords sometimes, which makes it sound weird and not too good..

I'm familiar with the original song. The guitar was pretty well done, though it sounds like you hesitate a little bit from time to time, causing a late note here and there. The sounds themselves, are right on though. The vocals were a bit rough, that definitely is your weakest part of this song at this point.

"Good cover"

date: July 3, 2009

Nice job with this one man, really sounded great. Though I really loved the acoustic guitar, it sounded very well played, nice job with that. Though your singing was a little off at times, some singing practice should make your singing voice sound a lot better, again it wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular either. However I felt you played very accurately to the original song by Pink Floyd, this is a pretty good cover of the song, one of the better ones ive heard. Good job man, just try to improve on your singing and it would be perfect, 5/5 from me, can't wait to hear more! :)

"Great accoustics"

I think that you've got some real talent to play this song so well unplugged. The one thing you do need to work on is your singing voice - you're not quite there, but perhaps an iPod recording of the tune, while you're playing, in your ear, so that you can hear what you need to, just to tidy up the vocals.

Still, a very nice sounding piece, paying great homage to Pink Floyd's original, which is one of those special songs from one of the most influential albums of all time.

Good choice.

"Not bad :)"

I liked the overall song, you did a good job covering the whole song and not just recording a little part of the song, kudos.

Though I noticed some imperfections in the song especially about the guitar. You know the chords and you have a nice right hand technique (assuming you are right-handed) but you seem to have some difficulties to chain up the chords, that caused tempo and rhythm movement. That's the major point you could improve here.

You voice wasn't excellent but it fitted the guitar quite well and as Haggard pointed out previously you created an interesting ambiance. A strange and dark ambiance, like the overall Pink Floyd ambiance. One more thing, you could have added the slide guitar's licks, even on your acoustic; it would have made the song more catchy and complete.

Overall, I liked it. The simplicity of it surprised me in a good way although you still have to improve some things, the rhythm and the linking of the chords especially. Good job :).
