Massive props to Trent Reznor for providing the stems for free. What a mad cunt!

Anyway, not really much to say...it's NIN, but for the club ;D

Enjoy!

"awesome mix bro"

very housey in my opinion.
though the beginning led me to believe it was going to suck from just the vocals.
though once it built, it was awesome. i also do the same thing for my hats and percussion. Slice loops and EQ and filter to liking.
5.5 on this
and if you can check out some of my newest stuff!

"kittens."

Never heard the original and I haven't checked out your page in a long time, but this tune is great sir! Loved the synth work. The lead had some interesting syncopations, as did the drums. Fuck it, the whole track had some sexy rhythms sitting behind that four to the floor. There's not a lot I can say except that at times there might have been some pads working in the background to create some atmosphere, but that's a subjective opinion. Another way of looking at it is that the emptiness of a major pad kind of helps the track create it's own atmosphere.

Again, great work sir! Mraw!

Cheers brah :)

Kicks are pretty simple. Find a good sample to work off of, then compress and EQ to taste. I try not to let my kick drum get too "airy", give it a bit of a boost (with moderate amount of Q) at around 50hz, and carve a bit out of the 100-200hz range to make some room for the bass.

As for stuff like hats, download as many 130 - 140 bpm hat loops as you can find. Quite alot of the loops I find tend to have claps or snares in them, and once you cut out all the low end (about 500hz and down), they go real nice, thin and fidgety :). Then it's just a matter of chopping and re-arranging your loops for interest.

If I need a meatier snare, I'll just grab a 909 snare and compress the hell out of it :]
