It's really nice, I esspecially like the trumpets :D. It's really got that orchestral sound to it. It doesn't sound that great until you turn it up loud or put headphones on to get more emmersion. I think if you put your mind to it you could translate this for a real orchestra and it would sound magnificent. :D Peacout !

PS, did you make this with edirol?

Author's Response:

Nope, I used a whole bunch of free plugins and soundfonts, like I always do.

It's a shame that you didn't enjoy it without turning up the volume. That's something I'll have to work on later.

But I might try writing this song on paper. Who knows, I might just give the sheet to a school or something, let them play the song at their school concert, you know?

Thanks for the review man! Appreciate it alot!

(P.S. I did get your PMs, I was just a bit lazy and I procrastinated to the point where I totally forgot. Imma stop by after I get back from college and drop you a review, k?)

"I can't think of a title for my review"

Amazing song you got here!
And yeah, i couldn't really think of a title for my review. I mean, with almost every song you make the only titles i can come up with are ''Amazing'', ''Excellent'' ''Brilliant'' or something like that :P
Anyway, the song.
I really like the way it starts with the strings in the background and the percussion. Then the horn comes in and that sounds really epic. When more (bass) strings are added it only becomes more epic!
I really like what you did with the horn(s) here, it works really great together with the strings. And the percussion is awesome too!
Well, that's really all i can say about this song. If i had some points of critique i'd tell it to you, but i don't have them.
Oh, one more thing, great job on creating a recognisable riff with the bassy strings!

Author's Response:

One thing I can say is that this song has almost no bass with the exception of the drums and the Timpani (which, ironically, is a drum hahaha).

It was kinda hard since the closest thing to bass was on the 4th octave range, while my normal range for bass would be the 2nd or 3rd octave range. This could have created conflicts with the other instruments. One song that comes to mind is Lords of Legend by Maestrorage. His song also lacked a clear bass note indicator (unless that trombone actually was supposed to be the bass, but then why was it playing a fifth most of the time?), but it also ended up creating some interesting-sounding chords.

I'm actually surprised this song turned out so well, I can safely say that 30% of what you like about this song was pure luck hahaha.

Thanks for reviewing, and glad you liked it! I know I say that all the time, but only to show that I always do, and always will, appreciate reviews.

"Nice song!"

Wild Spirit seems more like a theme song than something for actually in-game. It sounds like a full orchestra, is recording this, I might add, which makes it feel so much better.

Author's Response:

The crazy thing is that this idea actually occurred to me after I had finished the song. I couldn't agree more.

Glad you liked it, and thanks for the review

PM me teh story plox(if you have one..)

i love those precussions in the background, they are just great and i dont even really knw why, ussually i tell you to turn up some precussives, but i think those are great the way they are

what are those???(the background precussives i mean)

great track man

dude do you ever listen to RPG style music?, if not i think you should, i also think you should make some RPG tracks, your string skills are def. crazy enough to do that kinda stuff

Author's Response:

Oh no, this isn't for an album lol, I don't think I would make much money on an album full of orchestral works anyway. (I do have an album planned, but it's gonna be a rap instrumental album, since I can make tons more on sales since I live right next to philadelphia)

This is actually for a flash game for the power of three event, and unfortunately I ended up putting too much energy in this song so it likely won't end up on the level that I made it for.

The percussions are from the freebies from projectsam's true strikes 1 and 2, which was quite possibly the best link I ever recieved (thanks sorohanro). As for the specific names of the instruments, many of them are so confusing that I can only remember their abbreviations at the moment. I'm gonna add the link to my giant list of freebie samples and soundfonts as soon as I can.

And lastly, hehe my whole music career was started because of RPG music, in fact if I could get signed onto a major videogame project I would probably crap my pants hahaha

peace out, like I said in the other response, I'm gonna try to leave a review (or a couple of reviews) later tonight.
