Author's Response:
...That was fantastic. Perhaps I could respond in turn, with a poem I wrote sometime last year (before I wrote this song):
---
The White Rose
-A poem-
I take a walk
on a winter's day
in solemn silence
And in pathways
I have walked before
my eyes remain
Slowly flowing
Up
Until
I reach a place
I have been before
if only to observe
Alone
What wonders still
this world retains
from this silent hill
As I arrive
dying golden colours
are painted on the snow
Faintly glowing
gold and
fading
Never have I known
the Sky
I fold my wings
Again
From feathered face
my keen and
understanding eye
A Tear shines
Golden
Falling
But something there
is different than
before
For there
in White
I find
A Rose
The world falls silent
I observe
in darkness
A Tear
Golden on petals
of White
Shining

Thank you for your response, RedKing14ca. Definitely made me step back for a bit there. You're good with words, I have to say.
...And I'm genuinely delighted to have recieved such a beautiful poem from you. I don't get that very often. Thank you for sharing that.
