I'll keep this short and sweet:

Very well done with the actual writing and mix, but the beginning intro was far too long. You should have cut it by about 30 seconds. Enjoyable mix overall, so I give you a 9.

"Relatively original take on the classic."

I felt this peice did show originality. Most renditions of Zeal seem to be more into the 'haunting and soulful' fashion. This peice certainly gives the song a rather upbeat vibe to the peice, as well as the main melody feeling slightly quicker in my opinion. Almost like trying to envision Zeal BEFORE the inhabitants found out the negative sides to sucking power from a living nuke.

My only real complaint, and the reason you get a 9, is that I felt the intro pre-chorus dragged on for FAR too long. I realize you were setting up for the melody, but it just got a bit repetitive. Still a very good rendition, just not for the impatient.

Still losing points on originality though, everyone likes a remake, but as someone who listen to a lot of VG music, this song has been done too many times. I've heard better versions. Yours is fine and all and I do respect and enjoy your work, but your really losing me on Originality, not that I'm one to be "Original" but I know you get what I mean.
