Electronic - Video Game

Author Comments

I'm learning GarageBand by covering video game songs.
I'm not really submitting these to NewGrounds in the order I created them, so let me note that the first group of songs I ever did as part of this learning were all from the first two Sonic the Hedgehog games. They have great music, each instrument is pretty easy to pick out, and most songs do not have a lot of musical dynamics (changes in volume) throughout the song. These factors meant that I had only to worry about the basics of making a song in GarageBand, so that's why I chose the first two Sonic games as my first bit of learning.

I do it all by importing MIDIs. That would cheat me of the learning experience. And it's also fun to start with nothing and then added layer by layer and see it grow into a full song. :)
All music from the original two Sonic games was composed by the fantastic Masato Nakamura. I don't know what Sega was thinking by ditching him after those two, but they should really consider bringing him back. :)

Votes and feedback wanted and welcomed! :)

considering you did this all from memory. I use garage band too but I could never find the right instruments. What ones are in this song?

not bad for a beginner

i've heard that garageband is supposed to be really good. i only have FL8, and it's a demo, so there not much for me to do. and MIDI's are not cool either. i can believe that you really did this. i try my best too. (check out some of my stuff)

decent job with this. 4/5 8/10
