This is actually a slightly older remix. However, when I went back after more practice and tried to make this even better, I found myself mysteriously unable to surpass or even meet the satisfaction I had with the song I present to you here.

And so I give you: Skull Kid

Ehh, it doesnt have the intencity that you'd expec

The sounds were inbetween blending and not. I think that one part of the music per instrament. It sounds a little on the high side but its still recognizable. The flute, in my opinion, whould be good in the portions in between the main sections.
It isn't perfect, but i think it can be better.

I might re-do this particular remix, as it's one of my older ones. Check back and you might find a V2!

thumbs up the people have spoken

never really played the older games lie this one but i have played it at a freinds house though i was stone dead tired very good

ReploidCiel responds:

It's a very nice game, and one of the only direct sequels to a Zelda game. (If not the only. I forget any others.)

Majora's Mask is the sequel to Ocarina of Time.

The organ is good.

but I can see what your not satisfied with. if you could somehow record a clashing sound instead of the cymbal, it would sound so much better.

ReploidCiel responds:

I do have this nice orchestral clash, but I thought it'd be way too overpowering to put in this song. The cymbal just seemed more appropriate.

Pretty good

I dunno though, for me it just sounded too.... similar to the original. I mean when you say the word 'remix' generally you expect something different, like doing guitar parts with piano.

Though I did like it, still managed to give the same creepy feel as the original, without that it wouldn't really be the skull kid theme in my opinion.

ReploidCiel responds:

Thank you! Since this is one of my first remixs of this genre I actually take it as a compliment that it sounds similar to the original. The idea when I made it was sort of a remastered type of song. However, I feel nervous using the term remastered because I doubt myself sometimes. After all, my first time and time prior to this I did a belly flop with my song, and felt rather embarrassed afterwords after the initial artists pride faded.

I do think I can do a nice piano, however guitars are proving hard for me.

Skull Kid was always one of my fav's.

Hey man, really glad to hear this, I was always hoping to hear this tune finally redone and uploaded to youtube. Skull Kid is my favorite Zelda Character, and I was hoping so much he was in Brawl.

However, that said... this doesn't really come off to be compelling to me. I'm so glad you did it, but something isn't right. I hope that isn't discouraging, but I just hope you redo this to make it what it really can be. Good luck!

ReploidCiel responds:

I know how you feel. Don't you feel like Skull Kid is a bit under-appreciated in the series?

If you were looking for something similar to the original, maybe the tune has lost a bit of the childish, playful sound to it. Or maybe it was something else. *Shrug*

I'm glad you liked it. I might have to go back and expirement with the song in the future.
