Well after being on a 2 month hiatus I'm back! I've always wanted to write a western piece, like you hear in the old John Wayne type movies, but I've never been able to get started on something I like. So enjoy this sneak peak! I plan on adding more sometime this weekend.

"Woah, impressive!"

I expected something good, but not this great! I was thinking it was more of an actiony thing than the casual melody it had in the beginning. In the end, it was in fact a combination of both giving the listener a feeling of solitude and triumphantness at the same time! I haven't heard many songs that are able to do that, so I praise you for this. It does feel a lot like something from a John Wayne movie. I hope this gets used in some entries.

"Great Tune!"

Write a score for a western move - and some producer will figure out a story for it.

Great stuff - right out of "How The West Was Won"

"Keep it up!"

Though I know this is unfinished, I feel like there's something missing.. I can't think of anything right now, but if I do, I'll get back to you.
I can see jfig111's point of not liking the parts where is quiets down and bursts back up, but I think that it works well in making the louder parts sound more epic.
Also, the quiet part from 00:30 - 00:45 seemed a little too quiet for me. Definitely liked the flute in that part though, added a nice touch. The ending is nice, too.
Anyway, keep up the great work!

"Very Good!"

date: May 16, 2009

I love this one like your other pieces, however somethings did not work.

-The parts where it quieted down and then burst back up were quite annoying. You could just kept it where it was at 0:10, at the same volume, and then added the additional sections.
-It seemed too lucid to be a western type song.

Other than that, good job! I'll definitely be using this in one of my flashes!

"Very upbeat!"

date: May 14, 2009

I like how you've captured that upbeat sorta bouncy theme tunes westerns have and it got really epic and adventurous at the end. Can't really find anything wrong here :D
