I didn't write this out, I played it with my midi keyboard.
This is my first go at recording things live.
EDIT: THEN I FIXED EVERYTHING

And so, my bell orchestral rendition of the Song of Healing, from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Listen to this song and feel all your pains melt away, your sorrows flow from you, and immerse yourself in this tranquil and recuperative melody.

I really do like this...

The song of healing is a very soothing melody, very relaxing indeed, and yes Majora's Mask is kind of a screwed up game with screwed up intros and cut scenes but it's fun.( I read one or two of the comments with replys). I've beat it and the battle with the skull kid is very friggin' weird especially his second form...

mename3isme responds:

Yea, Majora's mask is pretty messed up. Creepy as hell. That's why I was cool with the weird feeling to this song and the weird intro. I'm glad you like the game, it's a really good one. I miss it, honestly...

great

only thing that kinda bugged me is the very beginning because it sounds more like scary music (sorry for lack of a better term lol) but was very tranquil when it picked up, like a soft drizzle on a warm, breezy day.

mename3isme responds:

Well, if you've played Majora's Mask, you'd know that the intro to the GAME itself is pretty scary and screwed up. So, I decided to mirror that, then move into the essence of the song which is soothing and healing.
And yea... I can see that too. Link sitting right outside of clock town on a patch of grass, as the wind goes by, and the clocktower tolling the hour.
But more so I want this song to capture some of the intense emotion of that game.

My favorite song from LOZ: MM!

This has to be one of my favorite songs from the game. Pretty equal to song of storms in terms of being amazingly written and conducted. This song is what got me hooked into the game so bad I needed to be everything in it to be happy. And your remake of the song has me leaning over to bring out my N64 and play it all over again. Thank you!

mename3isme responds:

You're welcome! I love the games too. I'm so glad you were able to get something from my music.

wow...

i loved it.im a big fan of zelda, especially the orciana series,i own both the orciana of time and majora's mask(on the nintendo64).i love the song of healing and this would'ev been a great commercial when the game was coming out,5/5 10/10

mename3isme responds:

Wow that's a great compliment! Jeez, although i think a 3 minute commercial would be a bit much.
Yea I loved those games sooo much, so much. This song is just testament to how much I love Koji Kondo, the composer, and Zelda in general and whatnot.
Yea, everything about Zelda is just perfect and awesome.

This is what i really truely think.

but first, allow me to rant for one second. I hate people reviewing other people when the dont have a fuck clue what they are talking about, and that might be me but thats not the point. anyways where was i.. shit one line into the rant and im allready lost, gah where was the point... had something to do with credibility or something... er.. uh..
well anyways the point is that i want to make it very clear that everyone has different taste and opinion with music, and i have seen you around the portal before and listened to some of your work and i must say you are musicly inclined so i am under the impression you know what you are doing. i love the intro, its erie and pretty epic but i must say i didnt like how the echos of the bells or whatever it was, had a more ubeatish kinda tone. im talking about the bells that start up at >40. gah its just the beginning was so epic haha but then again thats just my taste. anyways great work, i see your not submitting as much as you use to (know how yah feel) but you should start back up again.

mename3isme responds:

Thank you for your rant, it was interesting. Um, I'd realy like to believe I know what I'm doing, but in the end I probably don't. I only know very basic music theory and in the end I'm just riding on my ability to play random shit on the piano.
I don't really know what you mean by "ubeatish", I'm just assuming it's Eurobeat, and in that case, I just don't understand. If you isolate singular instruments they don't lend themselves to genres, and they can work with what's going on. I just needed differently toned bells so I guess I just picked whatever was there for me.
Hmm but in any case, I thank you very much for your feedback, you make me happy that you like the intro, and I myself don't like parts in the middle so I think I might revisit this song. Just a few tempo and timing tweaks, maybe mastering.
Thanks for the review mate, you helped me out. This was a good brainstorm session!
