This song literally just randomly popped into my head. While I was composing this, I decided to set these compositional rules for myself:

1) Keep a rapid riff going with at least one instrument.
2) Rapid keychanges, in order to practice them.
3) Always proceed the leitmotif with some kind of crazy buildup.

Now this song was written mainly with brass in mind, with the other instruments meant to serve as background. This was because I had just gotten myself a new french horn sample set I wanted to test out.

The instruments used in this piece include:

Squidfont orchestral
-Drumset
-french horn staccato
-flute staccato
-violin
-Piccolo stacs

Papelmedia
-flute
-trumpet (a main instrument)
-trombone (a main instrument)
-Strings
-String ensemble
-Tremolo strings

Roland Orchestral Rhythm
-Bass drum roll

Sinfonia
-Flute
-Oboe
-Cor Anglais
-Clarinet

Miroslav
-French Horns
-23 Violins
-String section staccatos (A main instrument)
-Brass Section staccatos
-Trombone Stacs

Extraneous
-5 string soundfont
-Orchestral Percussion soundfont
-Flobakks Choir
-Roland Tam Tam

That sums it up pretty much.

And sorry about my dissappearance in the AP, Like I said, this song will mark my return to NG regular status.

Feedback is much appreciated. You can vote, review, or download, anything to tell me what you think of this song.

great piece

I like all the build ups, but as said before the intro was rather... weak =/ and you use many instruments x.x

blackattackbitch responds:

Yeah, that's my biggest regret about this song, the mix on the beginning could have been so much better if I had taken 10 minutes to do a few tweaks

And I do have a habit of using every instrument under the sun hahaha

Thanks for the review!

There it is!!!

This is the type of music I was looking for all along, I love these, and your the first I've found who's made one!

blackattackbitch responds:

Well maybe I can help you find more epic orchestral music on NG. The artists that I know that make music like this, and better in many ways, consist of:

nickperrin
maestrorage
nathanallenpinard
paradoxphenomena
gravey1
danman87
basbalfan55
halcyonicfalconx

Those are all the artists that I can think of that make music of this particular style. You can also check out my favorites list, there's some truly excellent artists there including the names on this list.

masterpiece

ive been impressed by alot of your work and this piece doesnt disappoint. great buildups and note patterns. you really know what your doin

blackattackbitch responds:

Thanks, I took extra care in avoiding any random note sequences, and one main aspect of this song was an emphasis on the dynamics and the buildup between section.

Thanks for the great comments, I'm glad that people truly enjoy my music. I know I say that all the time, but that's how I really feel. I just want to entertain, you know?

Excellent

Nice structure and orchestration. You used just about every instrument in this piece, and although it didn't seem to be powerful at first, the mix later kind of came and "clicked" the beginning seemed weak mixing wise.

blackattackbitch responds:

Glad you stopped by!

This was one of the hardest mixing jobs I've had recently, I could never seem to get the mix exactly the way I wanted.

Thinking back, I should have paid more attention to the intro, but I had kinda gotten to ignoring it after awhile...

Once again, thanks for the review, and glad you liked it!

P.S. I actually have a habit of using as many instruments as possible in my pieces, a habit I'm actually trying to break hahaha

Ahh what can I say.

5/5 - 10/10
...You deserve it.

Excellent piece, a few times some of the strings went a little too high for me. But im a picky bugger. :P Excellent work al around. Love the theme.

blackattackbitch responds:

Yeah the mix was one of the more difficult parts of this song. Be glad that I turned down the brass instruments significantly or your ears would be bleeding hahahaha

I think I know which areas you're talking about though, and thanks for the comments, I do appreciate them!
