Since I suck so badly at finishing anything at all, I figured I might as well pull a kazm0 and post this as a Work in progress. Maybe that will give me some more spirit to go on with something.

Anyway...
This was first started at May 8th, 2009, first upload.
I'll edit this text as I upload newer versions of it, and when I finish it (if that happens, lol) I'll post it as a new submission.

Nothing in this song is definite, I might as well change that melody that comes in at the end (very likely).
All synths (so far) are 3xOsc, the pad is a layer of 3 different 3xOsc's. The little uplifter at 0:24 is a 3xOsc too, just with a crapload of automation ^^
Feel free to review/rate.

[EDIT] on NG still 10-05-2009: EQ'ed the bass better, changed the riff, worked on volumes and mixing a bit, changed up that uplifter at 0:24 so it has some stereo effect.

Its nice work, but try to upload only full things.

It's the art portal does not appreciate unfinished content :p (I think)

I used FL studio 8 to make this.

I still have this project, I renamed it by now though. It might hit NG sometime, but I'm not sure.

pretty good for a demo but maybe you could increase the volune on the nonbass stuff, cuz unless u turn it up loud you can barely hear anything besides the bass line. and maybeadd more instruments and tunes since the whole song sounds more like a long bass intro rather than a real song.

You're pretty much right. I added quite a lot to it already, renamed it and all; it's pretty different to this demo I have up here.

"Great tune, lower the kick though."

The kick needs to be quieter at the beginning, it overpowers the snare completely. The tune is great, I like the build-up of the synths. I agree with you that the melody at the end should be changed. Maybe a different sound at that point as well it doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the track in my opinion.
I have no doubt that you'll perfect it though man, all I really have to do is keep watch for when the finished piece comes! Great job!

Yeah, people (offline too) have mentioned the kick was too loud, will change next update.

I also agree about that last synth, it needs a lot of work.

Nice mix.

The Trance chord is good but you need something. The bass is a little off in terms of interest. Try and think of ways you can make the song interesting by experimentation with different synths. Experimentation will make your song stand out in the trance genre. But I think you are well on your way to success.

you should put some effort into finishing this.
nice, complex beat.
Not really the type of trance I like, but that's all just a matter of taste.

Lol, I will work on it, don't worry.
I was aiming for a complex beat, glad that worked out.
Normally not the trance I make, but I'm just trying out some new styles.
And I'm not sure if you could already say it's not the trance you like, as it's not nearly done :p

Or do you mean long drum intros?
