This is a remix of one of Rucklos songs: http://www.newgrounds.com /audio/listen/229474

There's a lot of sub bass in this mix so if your speakers/ headphones suck, go upgrade them right now. I didn't spend a lot of time on this one, but that's primarily because I can't use this track outside of newgrounds (as in I can't use this to make monez.) I had a lot of fun working on this though so who really cares if I can't use it to make myself rich. The pleasure I gained from this was worth the time spent. I hope you enjoy it too. Don't forget to vote 0 and check out the original while your at it.

...i never go around to review this it seem!

overall i like what you did with the tune, the panned reece sounds gritty and sweet. it has a good beat going on, though there's a SERIOUS lack of sub. another con would be the intro, it's really drowning with reverb.
productionvice it's ok though, this is exactly how remixes should be - save some of the original elements, and bring alot of new ones innit. i just don't feel the red thread somehow, there are things going on to give anticipation of what's to come throughout the song, i just don't buy them. perhaps the beat needs more versatility. all the way through the tune.
after the breakdown there's a sine-like synth that may have been meant to be a sub? it's at least one octave too high for that, if that's the intention.

the breakdown was really cool, btw.

so overall, a cool remix right here!

Are you sure you can't hear that sub I put through out most of the track? More presence maybe?

When ever i hear your work im always shocked. Your know how is incredible, in fact i think (and i could be completely wrong) out of attempt to meet equal stature to some other names on new grounds you completely excelled and passed them up. When i hear your work it seems like no other music on this site compares. Someday you will be making money doing this but don't lose sight of why you started.

Author's Response:

haha. You kidding? All I think about is the money. That's the only reason why I started. In fact, as soon as I get rich, the first thing I'm buying is your house so I can turn it into a heli-pad.

All joking aside thanks. I still have quite a bit to go before I'd be considered pro by most, but as far as I'm concerned professionalism isn't real. Perfection is subjective and the only reason why anything has any meaning at all is because the society we live in dictates it. Thanks for the kind words ^_^

"Better than the original"

date: June 14, 2009

The main beat can use a little more aggression and more speed however.

Author's Response:

There's no such thing as a remix that's better than the original. Remixes/covers are reinterpretations of someone else's work and can't exist with out the prior. Regardless of how good a remix/cover is, the original is always responsible for creating the response and there for is always more important. I understand where your coming from though and thanks for the kind words/ critique :)

This is really cool. Nice breakdown at 2:12. I love the crazy filtering going on with the synths and drums, and the ending is awesome.

I need to get to work on a new dnb thang. Whenever I try to though they don't sound as good as my other new stuff.

ANYWAYS good job.

I know how it is to be at that genre block. Just gotta hope it ends soon. Thing is if you keep at it, eventually it has to end. I always keep that in mind when I get stuck and eventually things come back around :)
