Here it is - After several weeks of frustrating software compatibility issues on my behalf, Mjattie and I have finished our collab. It was certainly interesting, considering how we live on opposite ends of the world, but it was really worth the effort.

Just an interesting co-incidence: the day that I finished my final edits on this song was also the first day that it rained here this year. And when Mjattie sent me the final version today - it was the second rainy day this year. For those of you who don't think that means anything... you're probably right, but I know that I'd certainly like to think that there's a cool kind of symbolism and meaning to that - even if it is only a personal thing and not something that has any real physical or globally influential significance.

I really enjoy listening to this one, and I really hope that you all like it just as much.

Tips to Mjattie for all his hard work on this, too. ;D

Enjoy.

"Amazing!"

date: August 2, 2009

This song blows me away. I love how it starts, love how it finishes, love the changes in tempo and of course, the background rain. Just amazing. You know a song is good when you just start humming it to yourself over and over and over. Nice work.

"Powerful combination..."

date: June 1, 2009

To me, this song felt like it was describing a life changing experience in a person's life or a strong appreciation for life.

The piano beginning with rain was magnificent and I love the significant transition at 0:37 and the piano melody specifically at 0:46 and 1:12, which I think could very well form its own song. The turning point at 1:20 was a little too strong for my taste but it did give it a strong powerful feeling that really makes this song unique. I was hoping to hear a stronger back melody that I can faintly hear at 1:24 and 1:30. If it's not a back melody, I think it may be worth looking into for the future cause I could hear some promising harmony there. The instrument choice for the melody at 1:53 was not too much to my liking, but I wouldn't know what to choose myself (I would've tried sticking with piano all the way). Also, I thought the ending could have been a lot better than a simple fade (I thought this part was the biggest flaw/mistake, but keep in mind that it's just my opinion). However, bringing back the rain at the end was an excellent idea. I think it would've worked out alright in the end if you retired back on a more simple melody similar to the beginning.

All in all, I believe this song turned out wonderful and was a great collaboration. It can tell its own story, its a powerful combination with emotion and it was definitely an interesting mix between your two styles. I do favor the piano over the percussion , but then it wouldn't carry the strong effect without it. This is the kind of music I would want to hear on a rainy day. 8.9/10 Job well done.

"Great"

by: citri

I loved the song. It felt nice to listen to. The drums sounded a little . . . I don't know how to describe it. Loud? Sharp? Not sure. It just sounded a lot less mellow than the rest of the song. The piano was nice. The melody was nice, not really earth-shattering but still pretty great. Overall a very nice song, 10/10 5/5. I was meaning to review this earlier but I forgot to, doesn't really matter that much though since I don't have that much to say that 81 reviews haven't already said.
