Last Showdown (Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier Remix)

Finally, after 4 days of work this, piece is done. This is a remix of Haken Browning's theme from the newly released Nintendo DS game called "Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier". It uses a very similar setup to a previous song of mine also from the Super Robot Wars series called "Trump Card Alteisen". Many thanks to Clifford Alvarez for help with the percussion.

For the first time, this is my first actual song to include sound samples (voices, sound effects) from the game itself. The person who voices Haken Browning is Nobuyuki Hiyama (info from The Gate Of Magus); you will hear him beat a robot up soon enough with his trademark attack that bears the same name as this remix, "Last Showdown". The attack itself is multiple slashes, firing bullets and finally one huge energy blast similar to a Shinkuu Hadouken...except in gun form.

Hope you enjoy.

Guess I never left a review for this one from a decade ago. Hows it going dude? I don't remember it sounding grainy but still love it. Maybe with all this free time everyone has now I might replay the game again and the sequel too. Even if there is no official English translation for the 2nd game.

Just so you know, the name of the actual theme from the soundtrack is "All Correct!"

Anyways, the actual audio from the game gives a feel for what the game actually is like. I love it.

Now the one thing that I'm waiting for is someone to make a remix version of the orchestrated version of "Where Infinities Meet" (Used in the final boss for Endless Frontier.)

rtnario responds:

Really? Wow, never knew that, and it's been years ... never got to play the whole game through, see. I prefer the strategy RPG Super Robot Taisen games. A lot of people were iffy about the samples though, glad you were able to enjoy that XD Thanks for the review!

Nostalgic song

yeah im back in the game.
thats a good thing!
lol first i thought you made the vocals :D u see i played it in german soooo...
well cool remake,
10/10 5/5

rtnario responds:

HAHAHA, it would be nice to speak Japanese as fluently as that, yes. Glad you liked it!

nice remix

its a shame the majority (Especially the final boss) of this game was so easy

rtnario responds:

Eh, too bad I never got to finish it...it's just not the same if it's not the -strategy- game for me XD;;

Nice.. but

..but you should've skipped the SFX. Adding only his voice would've (in my opinion) made it better. Including the, what it seems like sound recording straight from the game, isn't good in any way unless timed to the song with only a few sounds.

But other than that, the music is VERY good. Bursting with energy like the original.
Also; TEXAS HORRUDEM!

rtnario responds:

I really should've, but hey, you live and learn, it's been years since this remix and I've learned plenty XD Thanks for the review, and YOUR TEXAS HOLD 'EM IS NOTHING TO MY LAST SHOWDOWN *charges*
