Easy Listening - Classical

Author Comments

This is a piece I wrote around the year 2000, for my college string ensemble. It doesn't really depict anything, as I named it after writing it. But the goal was to have a definite irish feel to it.

This recording your hearing is a live performance of the piece with the Mt. Hood Community College String Ensemble, and myself playing the penny whistle.

For me, this invoked Castle in the Sky, and in a very, very good way.
The strong violin and whistle carried the piece nearly flawlessly, and though it did get a little murky around the middle, it wasn't murky enough to really hurt the piece much at all.
Beautiful, and very inspiring. I'll be listening to this while I'm doing my writing.

Absolutely breath taking. I very nearly had tears in my eyes from the beauty of this, and that's no lie. Well done!
