One of my biggest musical inspirations for my style of composing came from when I was playing Super Robot Taisen Original Generation 1 & 2 on my Game Boy Micro. It was a really great strategy RPG game with mechs, cannons and whatnot, but another thing that really made it enjoyable for me was the incredibly well-made soundtrack. I simply loved the soundtrack of both games: the base themes, the battle themes and the character themes most especially.
So now that I have my current tools for composing, I'm not limited to anything. It was about time I made a tribute song to one of the greatest inspirations in my entire life as a composer. I hope you enjoy my remix of Kyosuke Nanbu's theme, called "Trump Card Alteisen", based on his trademark mecha and its ultimate attack.
EDIT:
Pretty small edit made to the piano at the last part.
EDIT 2:
*sigh* Only now I notice I didn't put a direct download link here XD

Still phenomenal
Jeez, I can't believe you just use programs to make this music - it sounds so authentic! Totally catchy, without being too showy or technical. Just beautiful. Like, almost perfect, to be honest. The only thing I don't like is the impact key noise at 0:19. But other wise, completely incredible. I'd give it an 18/10, but sadly, I can't. 10/10, 5/5. Keep making incredible music, rtnario. You're my musical hero on Newgrounds right now. A most excellent remix. - EC
Believe it! And I guess I could've fixed that with what I know now, but this was actually part of my transition into my style's development up to what it is today. I'm glad you like my music, and I'm honored to be a musical hero of sorts for you XD

Holy Crap...
Okay, I've been a big fan of your work, but when I listen to this track it almost redefines the word epic. I only have one question, why are you wasting your time with NG when you have this amazing talent? You should be writing some of this stuff for epic boss battle sequences for hit video games! Amazing work!
Really? This is an old one XD And maybe this remix sounds great to you because it's a remix of a musical genre that inspires my own original style. I wish I could write like this, but what I did was remix the original to give it justice. Thanks!

UHHUUUL!
I love srw... we just need a weiss one to pair this now xD.
I do too, but it's too bad I only ever played the English ones. And who knows, in the future maybe Excellen will have her time to shine once more...thanks!

awesome
If anyone's ever played a Tales title, if I were to create one this would be my chosen battle theme.
Remember to name your main character Kyosuke then. =) Thanks!

BEOWULF! (/Axel)
Finally, some non-Resak SRW love up in this joint.
But every Alteisen needs its Weissritter - got a remix of Platimun Lucifer in the works yet?
Very good point. But that's gonna be pretty difficult though; it's such a non-guitar-oriented track ^^; I'd rather continue my old beta of Axel's theme though. Someday. Thanks! :)
