Yes I do! These kinds of songs are actually one of the closest to my style of composing, or at least I think so. Probably because I get inspired from them, no duh XD You are 100% correct that it is a battle theme, and 200% for it being a character theme. Unfortunately, I did mention that in the author's comments, which means you're wrong when you say it's 100% originally from me. :(

You can try Googling the theme and hearing it for yourself. You'll see that this song is almost completely a copy of the original melody-wise. But no, the original (and by that I mean the one on the GBA) did not have pianos or orchestration, and of course my own variations. :)

I suggest you play the game if you like strategy RPGs. If you like this, there's no doubt that you'll like its soundtrack...and of course the awesome game. Thanks again for the review!

Only one? Then go on and play OG2/OG/whichever you didn't play; always an awesome strategy game. The soundtrack is so, I dunno, fitting for mech battles and I really loved it enough to remix this track (and some other betas)! Thanks for the review, and Code ATA's not so guitar-ey that I want to remix is unfortunately...but I still have those betas of Axel's and Elzam's themes... :)

Also, I know what you mean about the splicing...now I can't help but feel that I want to listen to this remix instead of the original when it's Kyosuke's turn to fight ^^;

In OG1, you kept a lot of stuff like all used/unused Pilot Points (forgot what they're called) and lots of money. That was fine, but they decreased the freebies in OG2's New Game +. That wasn't fine. XD

This is the first of its kind (Boss Battle! was much later), so I thought you'd be interested in what I had at first. But since you already did listen and review, thanks! And yeah, not many people know the game and get why this is a remix. Game's pretty unknown and I can't blame anyone.

...but if ever you're looking for a great portable Strategy-RPG with lots of mechs and customization...=)
