For several weeks I was thinking to make a sample pack (again), but this time I was thinking not on trumpet but on more percussive sounds, like metal, like what "Tonehammer" made.
Hard task, well, not impossible and metal percussion sounds good enough even on less layering.
So, today I took (hear that) my wife's biro lamp and recorded several hits (with fingers), sampled and tried how sounds, well, to me sounds good enough.

Here's a demo, just one layer, loaded into FL default sampler and made in 20 minutes a quite generic track. Well, the point of that was that showing what can be done out of a biro lamp.
First part, lamp solo (8 bars).
Second part same lamps + synths & drums (8 bars).
Gear used for sampling:
- microphone Oktava MK 319
- mixer Behringer Eurorack UB1204FX-Pro

Samples I'll make available after I'll edit and make several layers.
Stay tunned for more sample packs ;)

"Pretty fresh."

Jazzy, perky, very alive. Isn't the style I usually enjoy, this tune is pretty active, and gets your attention.

Good work.

What a cool mixture of awesome sounds. You really are someone to look up to in the AP. The lead synth fits quite nicely in the mix. This song actually reminded me of a sweet couple of videos called Animusic. Check em out if you havent before. Keep up the awesome work Mihai, it is truly inspiring.

"Very Original."

date: May 1, 2009

Nice, unique sounding loop.

That was a fairly good, original sound to my ears. The varying layers went together well as one song, And didn't just all come together and sound like a jumbled piece of sounds thrown together to create noise, You made music!

It almost sounded like it was being played on Jars filled with water. It just left a lot to the imagination and sounded pretty unique, Which is always a huge plus. For something with such.. sharp sort of sounds, It had a good flow too. It all just went together well.

I saw no flaws: No jumps, No tempo that was too fast, No head-butting layers of music. Nothing. Somewhat plain, But still very excellent. I look forward to the pack. Yay!

Good music!

Thanx for review.
Samples will be available a little bit later, when I'll finish editing. For now I'm running around apartment tapping and sampling all the lamps and pots :))
